Electra version 1.2.7 released to fix a kernel panic issue on some devices

It was only a couple of hours ago that the Electra Team pushed two back-to-back updates for the Electra jailbreak tool, but those versions are already obsolete. The team just pushed another update to their iOS 11-centric jailbreak tool, bringing the version number up to 1.2.7.

The Electra Team announced the update earlier this evening via Twitter, elucidating how it was released to resolve a bug with tihmstar’s v1ntex exploit that would sometimes cause a kernel panic on certain devices:

The full changelog from the Electra Team’s website is as follows:

1.2.7:

– Fix a bug in v1ntex that resulted a kernel panic later in Step 2

– Actually test on an A7 device on 11.4 (thanks PastRestore on discord)

Electra currently supports all iterations of iOS 11 from 11.0 to 11.4.1, and you can download the latest version of the jailbreak tool from the Electra Team’s official website.

Keep in mind, however, that Pwn20wnd is working to add iOS 11.4.x support to the unc0ver jailbreak; that said, you have the choice of using Electra now or waiting for the Saurik-endorsed jailbreak to be completed.
