This tweak lets you share photos, screenshots, and text from anywhere

If you share all kinds of things from your iPhone or iPad with friends more often than the average Joe does, then a new free jailbreak tweak called Share Anywhere by wizages might be worth checking out.

Complete with Activator integration and an all-in-one menu, this tweak makes it easier to share photos, screenshots, and blocks of text from anywhere in iOS.

After installation, one of the first things you should do is open the Activator app and configure an action for toggling the share menu:

As you can see, there are three different Share Anywhere shortcuts:

  • Option 1: A selector that lets you choose between sharing pictures, screenshots, or text
  • Option 2: A selector that lets you share a body of text
  • Option 3: A selector that takes a picture and then immediately lets you share it

Since option 1 will be the most popular because it can do everything, we’ll be demonstrating it for this example. You can choose the one that best suits your own device usage habits.

Once you invoke the Activator action you’ve selected, the menu you’ve assigned to it will appear at the bottom of the screen. This lets you access shortcuts to sharing various things. Tapping any of the options in the menu reveals an iOS share sheet so you can share the item through any medium you want, such as:

  • Email
  • iMessage
  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Notes
  • etc…

Share Anywhere is also screenshot-sensitive, so when you take a screenshot, the tweak will know and you will see a menu appear like the one below:

This menu makes sharing screenshots easier. Since you typically take screenshots to show off something from your device, this will be convenient for power users because it doesn’t require you to manually find the image in the Photos app and go through the sharing prompts for each and every screenshot you want to share.

Share Anywhere is a free download from Cydia’s BigBoss repository and can be used on all jailbroken iOS 9 or iOS 10 devices. The developer has also open-sourced the tweak on GitHub so that anyone with an interest in coding can see what makes the tweak work.
