Glitch Cam, Fly Cash, Cool Cousin, and other apps to check out this weekend

It’s time for another episode of our popular Apps of the Week post, where we round up our favorite apps and games for you to check out. This week’s list includes a camera app with cool glitch effects, an expense tracker that understands simple text input, and a travel app for getting the most out of your vacations.

Glitch Cam

Take your visual content to the next level with Glitch Cam. The app comes from the same company that is behind the hit effects app Glitché, and it allows you to add the glitch-y filters to your content in realtime. There are over 30 filters to choose from, ranging from digital glitches and errors to VHS distortions and 3D transformations. Tired of the same old boring Instagram filters? Check out Glitch Cam. The app is available for free (w/ some IAPs).

Fly Cash

Came across this interesting app this week and just had to share it. Fly Cash makes expense tracking as easy as chatting. Use simple text, hashtags and emoji to enter in expenses, and the app is smart enough to understand and plug the data into a rounded out expense report. For instance, type in “Dress 320. Coffee 10. Dinner $120. #Taxi 30.” and Fly Cash will read it as 4 different expense items and go to work. Other features include a handy Today Widget, chart views and challenges. Fly Cash is available for free.

Cool Cousin

A Cool Cousin is that someone you wish you knew locally when on vacation. The app gives you reliable recommendations for what to do and where to do it from trusted locals. Enjoy the interactive guidebook for your destination city, or message a local for more personal advice. Other features include business hours and directions, wishlists, in-app Uber hailing, and easy sharing. Cool Cousin is available for free.

Potion Explosion

This is the official adaptation of the award-winning puzzle board game Potion Explosion. Play it solo or against other players locally and around the world. For those unfamiliar with the title, you are tasked with exploding ingredients, triggering chain reactions and gathering it all in your caldron. You must then use your hard-earned unicorn tears, fairy dandruff and other magical ingredients to craft powerful mixtures with wacky effects! May the best wizard win! Potion Explosion is available for $5.

Realm Grinder

Grow your kingdom, build alliances, and explore one of the deepest idle RPG’s ever in Realm Grinder. Use your money and influence to grow your kingdom from a single farm to a huge realm that earns wealth even while you’re not playing. Features include deep strategies, hundreds of upgrades and achievements, frequent events and constantly refreshing content, and much more.
