Google Santa Tracker goes live

Santa Clause Tracker

Google today launched its Santa Tracker in Google Maps. If you find NORAD’s own Santa Tracker lacking in terms of visuals and overall design, Google’s web app may be right up your alley. By visiting santatracker.google.com from any device, you can take a peek at at Santa’s Village as the white-bearded man gets ready for the big day.

Unfortunately, the Santa Tracker does not work in Apple’s Safari browser so use Chrome instead or another browser of your choice.

“Getting back to work is tougher than it looks,” teases Google. “The elves have to help Santa brush up on all his important ‘Santa’ skills.”

With Google Santa Tracker, you can follow Santa Claus on Google Maps as he makes his journey around the world. The search company is inviting users to re-visit the site on the 25th and “help us track Santa all night”.

As mentioned, the actual Santa Tracker does not work in Safari, yielding a message saying that the web app isn’t supported in Safari. “To access Santa Tracker, download a modern browser,” reads the notice.
