Ukrainian developer of fine iOS and Mac software, Readdle, today announced it’s launching a major update to its PDF Expert for Mac productivity application, bringing out a plethora of improved editing capabilities and new features like password protection for your PDF documents, the ability to link any image or text to a different page or a website, localizations for ten languages and other perks. The update will go live on the Mac App Store today at no charge for those who already own PDF Expert.
What’s new in PDF Expert 2 for Mac
PDF Expert 2 lets you make changes in contracts, fix typos, update your CV or edit any other text in your PDF documents for that matter, right within the app.
In PDF Expert 2, users can link images or any part of the text to a different page or an external website, as well as easily add, delete, move and replace images in PDF files (like company logos, graphs, charts and photographs).
The app also lets you protect important files with a password for secure sharing with others and permanently delete or white out sensitive text and data in documents.
PDF Expert 2 provides, in Readdle’s own words, “the best experience for creating outlines to easily navigate through the whole file”.
Last but not least, PDF Expert 2 is now localized in English, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, French, Chinese and Japanese and Ukrainian.
Here’s their promotional video for the app.
In addition to the above improvements, PDF Expert 2 contains all the features we’ve come to love, such as PDF annotation tools for highlights and mark-ups, super smooth scrolling, the ability to fill out and sign PDF forms, combine multiple documents into a new PDF or borrow individual pages and much more.
The app is available on the iPhone and iPad, too, and supports Handoff and Continuity features to seamlessly switch devices in the middle of a document.
Buy PDF Expert 2 for $59.99 in Mac App Store or grab a free trial at pdfexpert.com.
