Apple Store DOES NOT go offline ahead of today’s keynote, but Apple Public Beta Program does

In what seems to be a first for Apple, the company’s online store has remained active ahead of the WWDC 2016 keynote. In all past events, Apple did take the webstore offline a few hours ahead of them. Therefore, either there will be no new hardware introduced during the keynote or the store will go down a bit later, but still ahead of the event.

It’s also plausible that this time around, there’s no need for Apple to take the store down to update it with refreshed pages for iOS 10 and other new software.

What did go down ahead of the keynote is the Apple Beta Software Program website.

To us, this might indicate that today’s developer-only previews of iOS 10 and OS X 10.12 could also release for public beta testers.

Membership in the Apple Beta Software Program is free.
