Apple’s new music package, available across 115 countries around the world, packs in Apple Music Radio, Beats 1 Radio, iTunes Match and Apple Music on-demand streaming. But not all of these services are available in each and every country.
For example, people in Romania can only enjoy iTunes Match. Beats 1 Radio is currently off-limits in nearly two dozen countries. In addition, eight countries currently lack access to Apple Music, Apple Music Radio and Beats 1 Radio.
This article helps you find out in which countries you can join Apple Music, listen to Apple Music Radio (formerly iTunes Radio) and Beats 1 Radio or subscribe to iTunes Match.
As mentioned before, not all features are available in each country.
Apple’s chart seen below lists key Apple Music features limited to paid members (three-month trial accounts included) versus those freely available to non-members who are signed in with their Apple ID.
Apple Music requirements
Apple Music requires iOS 8.4 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. On Mac and Windows PCs, iTunes 12.2 or later with Apple Music and Beats 1 integration is required.
Apple Music will be hitting Apple TV and Android smartphones this fall. According to Apple, Apple Music for Android features will be limited to paid members only.
Apple Music, Apple Music Radio, Beats 1 Radio and iTunes Match availability
Apple’s key music services—Apple Music, Apple Music Radio, Beats 1 Radio and iTunes Match— are readily available to customers in the following regions:
- Antigua & Barbuda
- British Virgin Islands
- Cape Verde
- Cayman Islands
- Costa Rica
- Czech Republic
- Dominican Republic
- El Salvador
- Hong Kong
- New Zealand
- Papua New Guinea
- St. Kitts & Nevis
- South Africa
- Sri Lanka
- Trinidad and Tobago
- United Kingdom
- United States
Beats 1 Radio is not available in the following countries:
- Saudi Arabia
- United Arab Emirates
Apple Music, Apple Music Radio and Beats 1 Radio are unavailable in these regions:
As a result, customers in Bahamas, Burkina-Faso, Israel, Mozambique, Namibia, Qatar, Taiwan, Turkey can only subscribe to iTunes Match for the time being
Apple Music Radio membership requirement
Just to clear up any confusion, Apple Music Radio is basically a rebranded, reworked iTunes Radio service which no longer exists. It’s still available at no cost, with ads and limited skipping.
Currently, only folks in the following markets can listen to Apple Music Radio just by signing in with their Apple ID:

Everyone else will need an Apple Music membership to enjoy Apple Music Radio.
Beats 1 Radio free streaming
Unlike Apple Music Radio, Beats 1 Radio is available at no cost across all supported markets. An Apple Music membership isn’t enquired to listen to Beats 1 Radio, all you need is an Apple ID.
iTunes Match availability
iTunes Match is available through both Apple Music and as a standalone service for $24.99 per year. As a standalone service, iTunes Match is available in all countries except for:
