FIFA issues second update to iOS app ahead of 2014 World Cup Brazil

After initially releasing a World Cup 2014 themed update to its free iPhone and iPad application, FIFA in keeping true to its promise this morning posted another update ahead of the 2014 World Cup Brazil, which kicks off with a match between the Brazilian host team and Croatia tomorrow.

The refreshed version 2.1 build includes support for live-streamed content, push notifications for your favorite teams, interactive voting for Man of the Match and more…

The icon has been updated, see old (left) vs new (right).

The 2014 FIFA World Cup runs from June 12 to July 13 in Brazil.

The changes include:

• Enter the Global Stadium and follow minute-by-minute action, live from all 64 games
• #Joinin the biggest football conversation in history alongside friends, players, coaches and fellow fans
• Keep up to date with match alerts from your favourite teams
• Follow our daily Live Blog, which will give you up-to-the-minute coverage of everything happening at the tournament with exclusive photo and video coverage
• Affect what happens at the World Cup by voting for Man of the Match

These changes are in addition to FIFA.com’s news and exclusive interviews, plus live scores from 197 world leagues across the globe.

Last week’s update has brought out updated content with player and coach stats from all 32 competing teams, a detailed schedule of all 64 games, information pertaining to Brazil’s stadiums and cities and more
