As we recently reported, Atari promised to unleash a mobile version of RollerCoaster Tycoon unto Apple's iOS platform soon. Based on the original RollerCoaster Tycoon franchise, the mobile which simulates amusement park construction and management has just arrived in the App Store. The game challenges you create the amusement park of your dreams and exchange rollercoaster blueprints with friends on Facebook and Game Center.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile is available for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad devices, will run you $2.99 and is now available in the App Store...

Twitterrific 5 for iOS enhanced with several usability improvements, bug fixes

If you've been reluctant to purchase Iconfactory's excellent Twitter client for iOS, Twitterrific, there's no longer any reason not to give it a whirl as the team last month took the freemium route by making the app free with ads.

Of course, in-app purchases are available to unlock specific advanced features such as push notifications, ad removal and tweet translation. Now available free in the App Store, the freshly updated Twitterrific version 5.7.1 brings out several improvements and bug fixes, detailed after the jump...

Hands-on with ‘OS Experience’ for iPad

OS Experience is an upcoming jailbreak tweak that allows for true multitasking on the iPad. It's a tweak that's similar in function to the Quasar tweak that released a few years ago, but it's much more in-depth and functional than Quasar.

After testing OS Experience for the past couple of days, I can definitely tell you that the ambition behind this upcoming release is remarkable. OS Experience brings a desktop feel to the iPad, which is unlike any other jailbreak tweak for iOS 7. It's like Mission Control from OS X on the iPad.

Apple confirms iPhone UI creator’s departure, shoots down ill-founded power struggle claim

Yesterday, blogger Mark Gurman reported that Apple's Vice President of Human Interface, Greg Christie, will be leaving the company. Christie's name is on a hundred Apple patents, among them the famous slide-to-unlock invention asserted in its second California patent trial against Samsung.

The herald of Apple’s iOS design aesthetic, his departure was framed as a significant loss for the company based on Gurman's assertion that Christie was forced out due to his falling out with Jony Ive, Apple's SVP of Design, over iOS design direction.

However, turns out that Gurman's sources were wrong: Apple on Thursday denied the claim of an internal power struggle. Christie's departure after 18 years of service was planned and is part of a leadership transition inside the Human Interface group, Apple said in a statement to several media outlets...

Next-gen iPad Air and Retina iPad mini to feature A8 processor, Touch ID

Rounding out our coverage of Ming-Chi Kuo's lengthy report on 2014 Apple products last night, we have the iPad. We've already discussed the analyst's predictions for the iWatch and iPhone, and now it's time to take a look at his prophecies for Apple's next-gen tablets.

According to Kuo, the Cupertino company is planning on launching a second generation iPad Air this year alongside a new Retina iPad mini. He says that both slates will feature new A8 processors, and will finally receive Home buttons outfitted with Touch ID technology...

Last night, KGI Securities' Ming-Chi Kuo sent out a monster research note to investors with a timeline of when he thinks Apple will release their new products this year. He also offered details on each product, which he's learned from his supply chain connections and other sources.

We've already covered Kuo's iWatch predictions, which called for a "fashionable" smartwatch with advanced features like biometric sensors and wireless charging, and now it's time to look at his iPhone forecasts. The analyst sees two Apple-branded smartphones launching this year...

Since we first began seeing 'iWatch' rumors back in early 2013, I've been wondering what the smartwatch will look like. Will it look like a traditional watch, similar to those from Samsung and Motorola? Or will it look more like a fitness band, like Nike's FuelBand? What kind of features will it have?

Admittedly, there's been no shortage of reports on the so-called iWatch, but a new research note from KGI Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo offers perhaps the most comprehensive look at the device we've seen. The analyst says the watch will come in two sizes, feature wireless charging, and will be "fashionable."

A timeline of all the products Apple is rumored to launch this year

Apple is preparing to release a bevy of new products this year, according to a new research note from KGI Securities' Ming-Chi Kuo. The highly regarded analyst has laid out a timeline of all the products Apple is rumored to launch in 2014, beginning in Q2 and going all the way through December.

Kuo sees Apple starting with an iMac refresh in late Q2, followed by upgrades to the iPad Air and iPad mini. He then sees the company introducing a new 4.7-inch iPhone and the oft-rumored iWatch in Q3, and closing out the year with a refreshed Apple TV, 5.5-inch iPhone and a 12" MacBook...

Fans of the greatest baseball game of the late-1980s can finally get a chance to play the MLB’s modernized version of R.B.I. Baseball on the iPhone and iPad. Instead of trying to sell you on an overpriced port, or letting you download it for free only to hit you with a pay wall a few games later, MLB.com has revised the game for a new generation of baseball fans with a reasonable price tag and no in-app purchases.

Apple seeds OS X 10.9.3 build 13D38 to developers

Apple has seeded another beta for OS X 10.9.3 to registered Mac developers this afternoon. The update comes one week after the fifth beta of 10.9.3 was released, which brought about few notable changes.

Apple said to be considering ‘dramatic’ overhaul of iTunes music store

Apple is considering the most dramatic overhaul of its iTunes music store in more than a decade, according to a new report by Billboard. Citing sources familiar with the company's deliberations, the outlet claims Apple is actively looking for ways to combat declining music downloads.

We saw a similar report from Billboard last month, which claimed that the Cupertino firm was mulling over an Android version of its iTunes store, as well as an on-demand streaming service of sorts. It's clear that Apple is facing increasing competition from Spotify, Rdio and other services...
