Day 4 of Apple’s 12 Days of Gifts: Toca House game for kids

We are now on day 4 of Apple’s 12 Days of Gifts event, meaning Apple has removed the Lonely Planet iBook and has posted a new free item for download. Today’s gift is a popular educational game for children called Toca House.

Parents love Toca House because it allows their children (intended for ages 2-6) to virtually participate in everyday household chores like doing the dishes, ironing, and planting flowers in the garden through various mini-games…

Here’s the App Store description:

“Toca House is a free play toy for kids that takes them through the everyday chores of a household. Cleaning, washing windows, deliver mail, taking a bath or mopping the floor. All familiar themes for kids that they see everyday, but often can’t participate it. But now they can – and it’s fun too! Play a series of mini-games that take place in and around the house with five super-cute characters. When the sun sets it’s time to go to bed, but you can always play another round of course. This makes it perfect for turn-taking or a break to do something else too!”

The game features original artwork, 19 different mini-games and a kid-friendly interface that’s easy to learn. It’s also worth noting that there are no third party advertisements or in-app purchases, which should put parents’ minds at ease.

Remember, this game will only be available for the rest of today. So it’s worth grabbing even if you don’t think you’ll use it right away. Also note that the downloads are typically different for everyone, depending on your country or region.

This year is the first time that the United States has been able to participate in Apple’s gift-giving event, and thus far it’s been a bit of a snoozer. Still, it’s really hard to argue with free. You can find the 12 Days of Gifts app in the App Store.
