JailbreakMe 3.0 Launch Will Only Support iOS 4.3.3

Comex just gave us all a heads up that the initial launch of JailbreakMe 3.0 will only support the latest version of iOS, 4.3.3. If your iDevice is currently jailbroken or hasn't been updated past 4.3.1 or 4.3.2, you should go ahead and do that now.

It's expected that Comex will unveil JailbreakMe 3.0 sometime today, and he has dropped initial support for older iOS firmware versions due to time constraints.

Verizon Wireless Will Drop Unlimited Data Plans on Thursday

As smartphones become increasingly popular and we enter an age in which everyone has Internet access in the palm of their hand, unlimited data plans are becoming obsolete. Carriers are no longer happy to give us all the data we so desire.

Verizon Wireless will be the next carrier to drop its unlimited data plans, and on Thursday, July 7, new customers will have to sign up for one of four tiered plans.

iPad Hits 1% of Global Web Browser Share, iPhone Equally Dominant

Apple's influence on internet usage worldwide continues to grow, with reports that the company's iPad now accounts for 1% of the planet's web browsing usage.

The figure is even more impressive when narrowed down to just browsing inside the United States, with fully 2.1% being the magic number.

According to the latest NetMarketShare report, mobile browsing in general has now topped 5%, or 8.2% in the United States...

Apple Orders 15 Million iPhone 5 Handsets For September Shipment

Verizon About to Drop iPhone 4 to $150?

Apple didn't surprise too many people when they didn't announce a new version of their popular smartphone last month. We've known since March that Apple wasn't planning on unveiling any new hardware at their WWDC conference.

iPhone to Get AT&T’s Standard Insurance on July 17th

AT&T has finally announced that it will be offering its standard Mobile Insurance program for the iPhone starting July 17th. All iPhone models will have the option of a $4.99/month fee that protects against theft, loss, physical injury, liquid damage and mechanical or electrical malfunction.

The main catch is that existing customers won't be able to update their current iPhone model with AT&T's new policy. The carrier's update only applies to new customers or upgrades within the last 30 days.
