  • Prasoon Singh

Has anyone noticed that it takes longer for the iPhone 5 to turn on after the mobile substrate update? It takes about two minutes for mine to turn on know.

    • jocastro

remove it and re-install it and reboot

      • Prasoon Singh

I’ve done that but it still looks like the boot up time is a bit faster but not as fast as before.

      • ✪ aidan harris ✪

It’s normal because on boot mobile substrate is loaded and other launch daemons used by installed tweaks. If it is too slow uninstall some tweaks…

    • 4p0c4lyps3

      Haven’t noticed. Seems same.

    • Ben

      I completely noticed that.

    • Justin Mahone

Yeah, I panicked and thought that it was stuck on the boot loop! So I put into DFU mode and just switched it back on and I left it, and yes took about 2 minutes to switch on. I am glad that someone else has said that it has happening. Happy New Year Everyone 🙂

Winocm’s twitter is up. It isn’t letting me post a link, so the spaces are the dots in the URL. Twitter com/winocm

    • Melvco

Right, yeah we figured that out after the podcast concluded ;-/

      • Ben

I was watching the live broadcast. You mentioned my tweet right at the end; I am @brose783.

  • Trippy

Somebody make a tweak that makes Facetime Audio back compatible.

  • Melvco

Just to clear something up that I said on the podcast: p0sixspwn was updated today with Apple TV 2 support, but it doesn’t look like you can actually use it for a direct jailbreak. So we’ll still have to wait for something like Seas0nPass to be updated with the new code to do anything with the ATV2.

    Sorry for the confusion. ;-|

  • Gus Me

I notice slowdowns after every jailbreak on all my devices, and of course it only gets worse after I begin to install/uninstall tweaks. I missed seeing the Cydia icon on my iPad air.

  • Tanvir Pathan

Can one of you developers create a tweak where simply touching the finger print scanner replaces pressing the home button? Feel like the home button will break after 1 year….

    • At

The new home button is built way stronger than the old one, yes it has some more bounce to it but still better.

  • Christian Mejía

Help after jailbreaking my iPhone 5s I no longer can go on safari or Mail app. They both crash instantly.

    • ✪ aidan harris ✪

Do you have AppSync installed? If yes this causes the behaviour that you are describing. Uninstall it in Cydia and then reboot and you should be good to go. If it still crashes delete /var/mobile/Library/Caches/com.apple.mobile.installation.plist and a file with an extension of .csstore (or something like that). In the future don’t download appsync. If app sync is not the issue then uninstall cydia substrate and then reboot and you should be good to go…

      • Christian Mejía

        It sure was AppSyncs fault.
Thank you! And happy new year ! 😀

  • Alexis Flores

I hope Jeff makes a video tutorial on how to unlock the iPhone 5s soon. Oh, and to whoever reads this, HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🙂

  • Terry Lee

killbackground is still not working with ipad mini 1 nor ipad 3.
