Great news for all of you Duck Dynasty and Pawn Stars fans, you can now watch your favorite TV shows on your iPhone and iPod touch. A+E networks has updated 3 of its iOS apps today with full-length episodes and movies.

A&E, HISTORY and Lifetime apps all now each support the streaming of their top programming—including hit shows like Storage Wars and Pawn Stars —as well as iCloud sync, so you can always pick up where you left off….

From the App Store’s description:

“A+E Networks is expanding its award-winning content to smaller screens with new video watch apps available for free in iTunes for all iOS devices. Now on-the-go viewing goes beyond the iPad, viewers can watch full episodes, movies and exclusive clips from A&E, HISTORY and Lifetime on iPhone and iPod Touch.”

The apps also include exclusive A&E content, like ‘behind the scenes clips’ with your favorite reality stars. And viewers who sign in using their Xfinity Comcast accounts will get access to even more media, like full previous seasons.

Unfortunately, at the moment, AirPlay does not appear to be supported. So if you were hoping to be able to stream this content  to your Apple TV, you’re out of luck. But the good news is, A&E tells 9to5Mac that the feature is in the works.

I have to say, I’m really impressed with the quality of these apps. The UI and animations are sharp, videos load quickly and there’s actually quite a bit of content to choose from. You could literally kill a whole day watching free TV shows.

If you want to check them out for yourself, you can find the A&E, HISTORY, and Lifetime apps in the App Store for free. And yes, they’re are also available for the iPad.

They are some really sleak and responsive apps, hope AirPlay does get added at some point, but I’m already very excited to check out some shows :)

    I’d rather use netflix

Nothing better than Netflix. Have my computer hooked up to my 42″ Tv. Love watching shows in HD and Netflix makes it so easy to watch the next episode as it automatically plays it. Best 8 bucks I spend each month.

We need an official IDB app man!!!!

Downloaded because you mentioned Pawn Stars, since netflix dropped that show, but I think you must have mixed it up with another show. Pawn stars is not on the app :(

Pawn Stars is in the History Channel app, not the A&E app.

Are you looking at the History Channel app? I was watching it earlier.

I think I might try this app out later tonight, after I get home from my shift at DISH. It will have to offer something special though. With over 250 channels, I don’t have room to download an app for each and every one. So unless theses apps do something new, I will stick with DISH Anywhere. It streams live TV and DVR recordings over 3g, 4g and WIFI. It’s great because I have access to everything TV has to offer with one app, and it works wherever I go!
