If a picture is worth a thousand words and a video is worth a thousand pictures, this one’s worth gold. Taking iPhone photography to a whole new level, director Arturo Perez Jr. edited together a total of 1905 photos of San Francisco for the song “Invasión” by Mexico City-based band The Plastics Revolution. It tells a tale of a young couple finding love amid an indie-pop backdrop. The snaps were taken mostly on an iPhone and ss you can see for yourself, the results are nothing short of amazing….

The band explains in a video description:

This is the very first music video done entirely on Instagram without any third party alterations. Every single frame of this music video is an actual picture that we ran through Instagram. We never shot any video. We only shot still photography.

Not bad for the world’s first music vid comprised entirely of Instagram snaps, no?

I think you mean “as” instead of “ss”. Other than that minor error, this is a great post! 🙂

Cool video, but there’s no way it was mostly shot with an iPhone. Most of these sequences have way too many frames to be shot with an iPhone. And it wasn’t filmed using Instagram. The pics were simply processed using Instagram.

The first and I hope the last.

Twitter was stupid, offered nothing new, and got popular inexplicably. Instagram is the same.

Thinking about starting a service called Pitter where I take just one feature of Facebook, profile pictures, and make that the only thing on the site. Oh, and limit the picture size to 256×256, just to piss you off.

  • Even if its the first who cares?
Really it’s not like a miraculous feat or anything spectacular

really? you are going to call bullshit. thats a lot of work, totally possible, and someone knew what they were doing. It might not be style music everyone likes, or a style of music video that catches on, but its pretty sweet just for what it is.
