‘Chip’ now available on Cydia

A few days ago, we gave you an exclusive preview of Chip, a new jailbreak tweak that allows you to customize banner notifications background color, text color, border color, and gradient using simple RGB sliders. Chip also includes the ability to customize the notification sound and banner animation. In short, it brings an insane level of customization to your notifications.

Chip is now available in Cydia, via the BigBoss repo for $1.99.

    So what’s the difference between this and Vexillum (aside from Vexillum being free and this costing $1.99)?

    I have colorbanner and I love it. The one thing that I tend to like about Chip is the various styles in which the alert happens

    Infinite Safe Mode loop on every single one of my test iOS devices. Even the one with no other jailbreak tweaks installed.

    It’s really nice. I love the color gradient. The only thing I don’t like is that if someone sends you a photo MMS you don’t see the photo, only the text.

      So I tried to reboot and when I booted up I decided to respring my device and it put me in a boot loop, I think it may be because of ISX but I am not sure

        I’m having the same problem..I’m using iPhone 4.s on 5.0.1 firmware..I can’t rid rid of this exits mode issue. Only way to fix it for a little while is to turn the phone off and then back on. No more safe mode but as soon as I respring it it goes back into exit mode. I haven’t found a solution.

        Guys, it is an issue that chip has, it doesnt conflict with any other tweak (as far as I have tested) It just needs a reboot to function properly. A respring triggers the safe mode, which is a problem. So after you have installed the tweak, instead of respringing, you will nedd to reboot to prevent your device from going to safe mode. I found this quite a problem so I uninstalled the tweak. I hope the developer fixes this problem, because this is a great tweak, and I dont want my money to go to waste. Hope I helped :D

    I bought this and like it but had to uninstall it as it was causing me to get two sounds per notification – the one you would normally get with any given app but also whatever is set to the sound within Chip. Only way around is to disable sounds for all apps which is pointless as they’d all just have the same sound then.

    I was thinking that maybe because it’s not the paid version that I installed,but I like the tweak so much that I’m willing to get the paid version. My worry is that I’ll purchase it and that I will have the same issue with it going into exit mode. Anybody know of a solution?

    SAFE MODE problem so i switch off and it work but when i respire is goes in safe mode

    Its got potential but its clearly very buggy at this stage. Safe mode on my iPhone 4 and iPad 2.
