Want a quick and easy way to visualize when the music you’re listening to skips to the next track? If so, then Hud may be up to the task.

Unlike a tweak such as MusicBanners, Hud places the album art and track name smack square in the middle of your iPhone’s screen.

Check out our video demonstration of Hud inside…

Hud plays nice with music apps such as Spotify, and it will showcase the head up display everywhere except the Lock screen. Interestingly enough, the description of the tweak says it doesn’t work with the iPod app, which I found a bit peculiar. I tested it out, and sure enough it worked fine with the iPod/Music app.

Hud can be downloaded for free from Cydia’s ModMyi repo. Let us know what you think about it in the comments below.

  • is there a tweak that does this with banners?

    • Yes, it’s called “musicbanners”

    • Yes. It is “NowListening”. It’s the best for me. So clean and fine! πŸ˜€

  • Yes, it’s called “musicbanners”

  • Yeah this looks cool might try it out lol. Question, does anyone know if there is a tweak or can one be made that mimic or install the audio crossfade option like the one on the iPod Nano 6th gen, onto my 4S? I really like that feature but I have way more music on my iPhone than on my iPod ? Any ideas, guys?

Not bad, I wish it didn’t bother you while playing games and such that’s worse than the pop-ups on the old OS’. IMO

you know what’s great about this tweak is that it actually reminded me that my ears do a perfect job already at knowing when a track has changed, and who the artist is πŸ™‚

  • I think it means “The tweak doesn’t work IN the music app” as in when you’re on your ipod, it won’t come up with the HUD thing as you can see what track is next from the app, so it doesn’t need to pop up πŸ™‚

For every useful tweak there’s 10 useless ones.
