If you’re a long-time jailbreaker, then you’re already well aware that a ton of flashlight apps and tweaks litter the Cydia store.

Folks, it’s time to add yet another to the list; but this one is unique, because it relies on iOS 5’s Notification Center.

With WeeFlashlight, a quick slide on the status bar is all it takes to put a handy torch at your fingertips. Check inside for the full scoop…

If your iOS 5 device is jailbroken, then WeeFlashlight can be downloaded for free on Cydia’s BigBoss repo.

Do you currently use a flashlight app or tweak? If so, do you think WeeFlashlight is good enough take its place?

Nice; but I rather use Activator to turn on/off my flashlight.

Installed! Works great! No more flashlight app for me. Thanks developer & iDB!

    • Happy you found it as a solution. It works great — not the best looking tweak — but works nonetheless.

Most of these tweaks in principle are good but aesthetically suck bigtime !! Take SBSettings for example, it’s an awesome tweak but the fact that in Notifications the toggles don’t even fit, I can’t even use it currently because it doesn’t look good to see 5 and a quarter toggles, at least sort the size out so it fits 5 or 4 evenly and lose the black bar when scrolling, does any1 really need to see that.

    • I agree with you to a certain extent. That’s why I love it when I see developers rely on artists for their icons, and UI. It makes the whole package that much better. Take Springtomize 2 for example. That’s a good example of function + style.

Sure is, springtomize has been my most used tweak since jailbreaking on 4.3.3, by far the most comprehensive tweak, I just wish the maker of sbsettings would tidy up the icons so they looked like they do on bbsettings i think it is, the 1 with the aeroplane toggle that looks like a dildo haha, the sizing of them icons is perfect.

    Nice, thanks!

  • Whammy!

Installed and it crashes everytime I open Settings > Notifications to enable it makes Settings crash.

Installed and it crashes everytime I open Settings > Notifications to enable it makes Settings crash. …may be related to having BatteryCenter installed as well.

  • I tryed it, but it make device slower (maybe to blame the fact that I have also inteliscreenX)
