Apple has released some new ads that focus on the three main e-commerce stores for the iPhone. These short, 30 second promos focus on the App Store, iTunes, and iBooks.

The main focus of these three ads is to show what people who don’t have the iPhone are missing. The “If you don’t have an iPhone” tag line plays throughout the ad as different features of each store are pointed out. Each ad ends with a little jab: “If you don’t have an iPhone, well, you don’t have an iPhone.”

Watch the three ads after the break…

What do you think? The ads clearly get the intended message across. Perhaps a little too boldly? Apple sure knows how to make a poignant little commercial.

I have an iphone…but i dont have a job. My clock went back an hour during DST instead of forward. Thanks apple. Smartphone huh?

I sense BS. You wouldn’t get fired for something that’s not your fault. Unless your employed by some asshole.

Can’t blame a phone for a alarm… Lol shows how lazy you are and other Americans

Indeed i can blame a phone for an alarm. Seeing how my phone came with an alarm and is a feature of my phone. A so called “smart phone” like the ipohone should be able to change DST correctly.

Dont get me wrong i love my iphone. I use it everyday. But losing my job because it didnt wake me up like it does every normal morning blows goats. I now have to look for a job to finish up this 2 year contract.

Lazy? So in your country you just wake up with roosters or something?

      • Igeek

no I’m an American… Y’all just lazy… I don’t depend on a clock to tell me when to wake up… Just for a reminder purpose…

If you don’t have an iphone, You can’t watch Porn. That means you can’t learn new styles. I have a Jail-broken iphone and i have Pornhob on it. Love it.

    • Manuel

You don’t need an iPhone to watch porn, you just need to find good sites that work with iPhones.

Excuse my double post, just wanted to actually comment on the article.

I think the ads are so so. The App store ads aren’t wow to me since every phone has apps. Yes, Apple you do have a big selection on apps, but you also have a big limitation on that store, thus why us jailbreak users jailbreak and get cydia. Its the reason of the app store not having what we want or need.

The second ad I think was true. You can’t get that on any phone. People hate iTunes so it does have its pros and cons, but you do have a serious music world in your pocket.

Same with ad 3. iBooks is great. I mean I don’t read books, mostly articles and mags, but iBooks is cool. Still no different from Android and getting kindle or something else, but it is a thought when you realize that you can buy millions of books from your hand, so its a win in my book with the 3 ad.

I sure liked being in the VIP line at the airport for having my boarding pass in my phone 😀

  • As a happy iPhone owner, even I smell a large pile of BS in these ads, at least the iPod and iBooks ads. First off, other smartphones running Android and Windows Phone 7, as well as the BlackBerry line, have very capable music players. They also have access to the Amazon.com MP3 store. Genius also sucks at recommendations, and is just a way for Apple to push you to spend your money with them buying songs that suck. The iBooks one is BS, too. The Kindle, Nook, and Google Books stores have better selections of books, and at least the Kindle app is a better book reader than iBooks (IMHO). (iBooks is actually pretty darn good as a PDF reader, though.) I do like the App Store one, though. There are app stores for Android, WinPhone 7, BlackBerry, and Palm Pre phones, but none of them are as well organized and easy to navigate as the iOS App Store. The only two that come close are the Web App store OpenAppMkt (which seriously needs more apps, and Retina icons) and Cydia, and both of those are on iOS as well (though OAM works on other platforms too).

What’s funny is when when I caught the commercial on tv tonight, I was confused why the lock screen looked weird, and the realized there was no lock info!
