All avid iDownloadBlog readers know to expect a fresh set of wallpapers on Sunday afternoons. Since the summer of 2013, our Wallpapers of the Week section has drawn a steady following. Today's collection, however, is not a new set, but a highlight of the year's most popular images.

Going back through the year, we pulled wallpapers that were popular throughout 2015. Some of the favored styles included galaxy, geometric, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens wallpapers. As we roll into the final parts of the year, the weather is beginning to cool down, at least for the northern hemisphere. With the cold weather comes Christmas and snow. Winter is my favorite season and, not coincidentally, my favorite weather related wallpaper.

The week is finally arrived. This Friday, December 18, Star Wars: The Force Awakens will hit theaters. With more than $500M in ticket presales, the next installment in the Star Wars saga is prepared to shatter box office records, making it one of the most highly anticipated films in history.

It comes as no surprise the film is so popular, given the smashing success of the franchise since the 1970's. Now with Disney's backing, it is impossible to go anywhere, see anything, or watch TV without being pummeled by advertising. World AIDS Day Product (RED) inspired wallpapers

Each year, Apple helps spread the word about the fight against AIDS. In so doing, they often announce or publicize apps or products that help generate revenue for the World AIDS Day organization. This year, Apple released the leather PRODUCT (RED) case for iPhone 6s and iPad.

Inside, we have a wallpaper set that is similarly inspired by the PRODUCT(RED) initiative. Designer @Axinen quickly jumped at the chance to support AIDS awareness, by creating a set for iOS devices and desktop. You can find more images via Axinen's homepage and step inside for the latest download.

Bold iPad Pro wallpapers

Apple's newest flagship iOS device, iPad Pro, offers a screen with 5.6 million pixels. The engrossing screen is quite spectacular, even if recent reports peg the iPad mini 4 display as best. I was surprised to find very few iPad Pro wallpapers around the Internet, that took advantage of the massive new screen. Consequently, I was left on my own to scramble up some options.

Inside, you will find several iPad Pro wallpapers. It is a shame to have that giant screen, but no customizable wallpaper options. Blackberry Priv geometric wallpapers for iPhone

The Wallpapers of the Week section has continued for longer than two years! Over this time and more than 100 posts, we are able to see certain trends in popularity. Other than starry galaxy wallpapers, geometric wallpapers seem to be the biggest hit each time they are posted.

James Bond Spectre wallpapers

The recently released James Bond film Spectre has been showing good numbers in the box office. A harkening back to the good old days of Bond, Spectre is full of gadgets, cars, and explosions. It puts Casino Royal's only gadget, the heart defibrillator, to shame, but Spectre doesn't quite hang with Skyfall.

My personal movie commentary aside, it was a bang up James Bond film and a few iOS device wallpapers will show your support. Inside, there are Spectre wallpapers for iPhone, iPad, and desktop. Although today's Wallpapers of the Week post is a mixed bag of devices, there is something for everyone.

Star Wars wallpapers for iPhone

The Force Awakens trailer releases are causing a great disturbance in the Force. If you are particularly interested in seeing additional sneak preview details, any Star Wars fan would tell you to view the Disney release Japanese trailer that contains footage not released to English speaking audiences.

With the movie just more than one month away, the Wallpapers of the Week section is hoping to help celebrate the excitement. Inside this week's installment are a few images from and inspired by The Force Awakens. Of course, we must also pay homage to the original trilogy.

Wallpapers of the week: Hey Siri and Apple TV

This past week, Apple launched the new generation Apple TV. Pre-orders began to arrive Friday, October 30 and a plentiful supply of stock was available in Apple Stores. Two new features for the device include Siri enhanced search and navigation, along with new time lapse motion screen savers.

Last week, Apple released seven new Apple Watch TV ads, promoting their popular wearable device. The ads appear to harken back to the original iPod advertising days, with great color schemes and simplistic messages.

With the launch of WatchOS 2, Apple Watch owners can now more effectively control the look of their watch faces. By adding the ability to change photo based faces, Apple provided unlimited options to make Apple Watch fit your preferences.

Using a photo album, Apple Watch users are able to cycle through photos at each wrist raise, or have the photo remain constant.
