Here's how to protect yourself from the EFAIL vulnerability in Apple Mail on both iOS and macOS. These temporary fixes come after the new vulnerability was discovered that allows hackers to derive decrypted plaintext from encrypted emails. For the attack to work, the third party must be in possession of your encrypted S/MIME or PGP emails. 

Houdini ‘semi-jailbreak’ tool demoed on iOS 11.4 beta

If you’re up to speed on everything happening in the jailbreak community as of late, then you might be familiar with the Houdini semi-jailbreak created by Abraham Masri (@cheesecakeufo) many months ago.

While it isn’t a full-fledged jailbreak like Electra and Yalu are, it does provide users with a basic way of customizing their device(s) outside of Apple’s stock parameters, and Masri has just demonstrated a successful Houdini semi-jailbreak on Apple’s latest iOS 11.4 beta:

KeenLab demos a jailbroken iPhone X with iOS 11.3.1

KeenLab is renowned for demonstrating successful jailbreaks on Apple’s latest firmware, and it seems that they’ve done it once again.

Presenting at InfiltrateCon 2018, KeenLab security researcher Liang Chen demonstrated a fully-jailbroken iPhone X running iOS 11.3.1, which was released by Apple less than one week ago as of this writing.
