New photos show alleged gold iPhone 5S next to black, white iPhone 5

Some new photos hit the web tonight, showing what is believed to be an iPhone 5S shell in a gold/champagne color next to black and white versions of the iPhone 5. If legitimate, the photos reaffirm recent speculation that Apple will offer its new handset in three colors.

Talk of a golden iPhone reached a fever pitch earlier this week, following a number of reports and corroborating part leaks. And while many have scoffed at the idea of Apple releasing such a gaudy-looking device, others believe that the champagne color will be a hit...

iPhone 5S and 5C said to be launching in Japan on September 20

The iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C will launch in Japan on September 20, according to a report from prominent Japanese business newspaper Nikkei. That falls on a Friday, 10 days after the handsets are expected to be unveiled.

The date makes sense, based on Apple's past history. The company typically launches its new iPhones in the United States and a handful of international markets on the Friday of the following week after they're announced...

AdAge: iTunes Radio to launch in September with high-profile ad partners

Since Apple unveiled its new streaming music service, iTunes Radio, back in June, we haven't heard much about it. While we have a good idea, from the betas, of how it's going to work, there are still a lot of details we don't know.

But a new report out this morning is looking to change that, by filling in a lot of the blanks. Citing "people familiar with the negotiations," it claims that iTunes Radio is launching in September with some high-profile brand partners...

Alleged photos of silver iPad 5 shell hit the web

New photos of a rear shell believed to belong to the next generation iPad surfaced late last night. The images appear to show a silver casing, which is consistent with previous reports and leaked parts pointing to a smaller, thinner tablet.

We've seen a number of black/slate shells allegedly belonging to the new iPad on the web over the past several months. In fact, they first popped up all the way back in January. But this is one of the first times we've seen a white/silver shell...

It looks like there’s really a golden iPhone on the way

The next iPhone is definitely going to come in gold, according to a new report from TechCrunch this evening. The news follows several weeks of reports and purported part leaks suggesting that the iPhone 5S will be offered in the new color.

It's believed that Apple is adding the third color option, in addition to black and white, to its flagship handset line in an effort to differentiate the device from its predecessors. And don't worry, it's said to be more of a 'champagne,' than a gold...

Apple could still be planning TV product announcement for this year

It seems that with all of the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C and iPad 5 chatter over the last few months, that talk of a new Apple TV-related product has faded into the background. The last TV-related rumor we heard said it was going to be late 2014 before we saw anything.

But that may not be true, according to Apple insider MG Siegler. During an appearance on John Gruber's Talk Show podcast this week, the Apple blogger-turned-VC commented that he's heard some chatter of Apple making a significant push into television this fall...
