PredictionShortcuts adds cut, copy, and paste buttons above the keyboard

Text editing can be so cumbersome on the iOS platform, mostly because of having to tap and hold on text to select it and then having to wait for the editing menu to appear on the screen afterwards.

Fortunately, a new free jailbreak tweak called PreditctionShortcuts adds cut, copy, and paste options right to the QuickType section of the keyboard for ease of access. Best of all, it doesn't even impede on your ability to use the predictive typing features.

Twelve South’s HiRise 2 Deluxe dock looks great with the new iPhone 7

Twelve South is at it again, making great accessories for Apple products. The company’s release of the HiRise 2 and HiRise 2 Deluxe charging docks earlier this month brought forth a redesign with new color options and improved stability for larger devices.

In this review, we’ll take a closer look at the HiRise 2 Deluxe in black, a color made to match Apple’s new black iPhone 7 & 7 Plus finish.

QuickDial Lite adds speed dial features to your iPhone

QuickDial Lite is a new free jailbreak tweak intended for iPhones that allows you to quickly dial up to 9 of your favorite phone numbers in fewer keystrokes.

With this tweak, you can assign certain phone numbers to individual number keys on the keypad in the Phone app. Afterwards, you will be able to tap and hold on any of those assigned keys to automatically initiate a phone call to the number assigned to the key you held down.

Leaf for iPhone review: a new, design-focused way to browse Twitter

Ever since Apple integrated support for Twitter sharing into iOS, I've been an avid Twitter user. It's where I get the majority of my tech headlines, an occasional dose of national or world news that makes it past my Tweetbot mute filters, and how I discover most of my new apps and friends, even. It also happens to be where my app discoveries, tech opinions, and bad jokes get posted. If you're not following me on Twitter, you're probably better off for it, but I'd appreciate you giving it some consideration regardless.

All this results in me becoming keenly interested when a new Twitter app is released, and the latest addition to the many clients I've tried is Leaf, a brand new app designed by Surenix and developed by iPlop, both prominent members of the jailbreak scene. Based on my experiences thus far, Leaf is best described as an alternative to Twitter's official client rather than an opponent of Tweetbot, the Twitter power user's app of choice. If you dislike Tweetbot for whatever reason but aren't entirely satisfied with Twitter's default option, Leaf may be for you.

The perfect jailbroken iPhone: iOS 9 edition

Following a ritualistic bloodline of popular posts we've shared in the past, we'll be showing you what jailbreak tweaks we think make a perfect jailbroken iPhone on iOS 9.

Personally, I believe less is more; keeping a jailbroken device as stock as possible without compromising on your most wanted features helps keep it both stable and functional. Overloading it with jailbreak tweaks for the sake of aesthetics can lead to instability, and that's something I tend to avoid.

As a result, I focus mainly on tweaks that serve a functional purpose more so than tweaks intended to make your device look cooler. These tweaks will all work with the Pangu jailbreak for iOS 9.3.3.

Lithium Ion lets you theme your battery indicator without Winterboard

Lithium Ion is a new free jailbreak tweak that provides you with nearly limitless customization of the battery indicator in your Status Bar on any of your jailbroken devices.

With this tweak, you can choose from new colors and themes for the indicator and apply them faster than you can say "done." Plenty of themes are included out of the box that you can pick from and then further customize with different colors depending on your current battery level, and you don't even need Winterboard to do it.

Launchpad adds a paginated information system to the Reachability interface

Reachability, a feature designed by Apple to make it easier to tap on things that normally appear at the top of the screen on iPhones with larger displays, has always been deemed "wasted space" by the jailbreak community.

Yet another jailbreak tweak release to try making use of that space is Launchpad, which will give you a customizable paginated information system in the Reachability interface.

Delete messages from the Lock screen & Notification Center with MadridDelete

MadridDelete is a new free jailbreak tweak that lets you easily delete SMS and iMessages from either the Lock screen or Notification Center, rather than having to be in the Messages app.

Although you can typically clear notifications and mark messages as read from these places, you have never actually been able to delete a message from the Lock screen or Notification Center until now.
