Nike releases new Soccer for iPhone app

It's interesting that although Adidas is the official sponsor of the world's greatest sporting spectacle that is the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Nike has managed to hijack the event and successfully steal Adidas' thunder with clever marketing tactics.

Part of Nike's stealthy yet effective approach is a new iPhone app dedicated to all things soccer.

Called Nike Soccer in the United States (the name is localized in other markets), it strives to put the best of soccer in your pocket by sending you timely alerts on upcoming events while keeping you connected to the world of Nike products and athletes.

Sonico launches iTranslate for Mac with voice output, dictionaries, 80+ languages and more

German developer Sonico Mobile makes some fairly nice translation apps for the iPhone. Their excellent iTranslate app, available free for the iPhone and iPad, allows you to translate words and text into over 80 languages.

It supports voice input and output for most language pairs, which works much better than you'd think in terms of dialects, gender, speaking rate and other variables affecting translation accuracy.

Google launches new YouTube Creator Studio app for iPhone

Hot on the heels of this morning's release of AdWords Express, Google has launched another new app for iOS. It's called YouTube Creator Studio, and it's a one-stop shop for YouTube creators to access information on their channels and videos.

Our US audiences may not necessarily be fond of Monty Python, a British surreal comedy group best known for Monty Python's Flying Circus, a hilarious television sketch show broadcast by the BBC from 1969 to 1974.

Even if you've never followed the show, chances are you've encountered some of the popular and widely quoted sketches on YouTube. Some have even gone to become cultural phenomenons in their own right. Take the "Spam" show, for example, which led to the coining of the term email spam.
