Warner Bros. releases ‘LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril’ for iOS

In a somewhat surprising move, Warner Bros. has released a new game from its popular Lego franchise for iOS called 'LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril'. The title, which landed on PCs and consoles last year, is now available on both the iPhone and iPad.

Like most LEGO games, Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril falls in the action adventure genre. Players take control of Iron Man, Spider-Man, the Hulk and other Marvel characters in an effort to stop villains from building weapon capable of destroying the world...

Warner Bros. launches new ‘Legends of Chima Online’ Lego game for iOS

Warner Bros. has released a new Lego game for iOS this morning called the 'Legends of Chima Online.' The studio has had staggering success with the Lego franchise—it even has a #1 movie out right now—so honestly, why wouldn't it continue to capitalize on it?

As the name suggests, Legends of Chima is an MMOG (massively multiplayer online game) that has you explore the vast and dangerous world of Chima ruled by animal warriors. You can play co-op or solo, and the game works across iOS, Mac and Windows PCs...

LEGO Batman: DC Super Heroes arrives to iOS

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes landed on the Mac last year and now an iOS version is here for your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Produced by TT Games under license from the Lego Group and published by Warner Bros. Entertainment, LEGO Batman: DC Super Heroes (I hate capitalized brand names so I'll just write 'Lego' henceforth) has Batman and Robin characters joining forces with other Dark Comics heroes like Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and others.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to stop the notorious villains Lex Luthor and The Joker from destroying Gotham City. The game scored nice reviews due to its 3D platforming mechanics and light puzzle solving. I've include the launch trailer and more in way of detail after the fold...

According to the press release, the two companies have signed a multi-year licensing deal to bring a new line of cases to market, inspired by the iconic bricks—the highlight of which is said to be new 'buildable' cases...

CES 2013: Lego debuts iOS-friendly Mindstorms EV3 programmable robots

Toy maker Lego announced at CES 2013 a new line of iOS-compatible toys that let children and robotics hobbyists create and command robots "that do what you want". The kit turns your Lego creations into live robots that can be programmed without a computer. Previous Mindstorms incarnation dating as far back to the original model released in 1998 all required a PC. The Mindstorms EV3 kit comes with the EV3 Intelligent Brick, a programmable unit that un‐tethers robots from the computer and sports its own ARM9 CPU with 64GB of RAM and 16MB of flash storage...
