Maize, Translucency Infinity, and other jailbreak tweaks to check out this weekend

Although we still don’t have a jailbreak for iOS 11 yet as of this writing, developers continue to pump out jailbreak tweaks for iOS 10 devices that modify or augment the stock experience.

In this roundup, we’ll discuss every new jailbreak tweak released in Cydia during the past week. As usual, we’ll start by showcasing our favorites, but we’ll outline the rest of them afterward.

Maize officially released, brings iOS 11-inspired Control Center to jailbroken iOS 10 devices

Anyone wanting to make their jailbroken iOS 10 device look and feel more like an iOS 11 device shouldn’t leave the Creatix Dev Team’s Maize out of their collection. It’s the most in-depth port of the iOS 11 Control Center experience that we’ve witnessed to date.

We went in-depth with the newfangled jailbreak tweak just a few days ago, but we were toying with a pre-release at the time. Fortunately, the wait is now over, and you can officially download the tweak from Cydia starting today.

This tweak brings translucency to more of your iOS apps

If you look at your Reminders app for a moment, you’ll notice a translucent region near the top of the app. Interestingly, Apple uses this aesthetic in very few of iOS’ stock apps, and this makes the effect feel a little bit out of place.

Here to fix that is a new free jailbreak tweak dubbed Translucency Infinity by iOS developer EthanRDoesMC. This tweak ports a similar effect to as many of your apps as you want, letting you gain a little more consistency across the board.

Augment your BBM app experience with the new BBMEasy tweak

Just like almost any other app available in the iOS App Store, the BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) app could do with a few improvements. iOS developer Ahmed Bafkir had a keen eye for finding ways to augment the BBM experience, so he launched a new free jailbreak tweak called BBMEasy in Cydia.

After installation, you can visit the BBMEasy preference pane inside of the Settings app and discover all the ways you can customize your BBM app experience.
