Despite the crazy roller coaster that the iOS 11 jailbreak department has been on lately, developers are still releasing jailbreak tweaks for customizing the iOS experience.
In this roundup, we’ll talk about this week’s noteworthy releases. As always, we’ll begin by showcasing our favorites and outline the rest of them afterward.
Not even 24 hours after the release of Electra beta 8-2, CoolStar pushed beta 9 of the iOS 11.0-11.1.2 jailbreak tool on Saturday with a slew of additional bug fixes and performance improvements.
Just like the LiberiOS tool that launched last year, Electra utilizes Ian Beer’s open-source tfp0 exploit to jailbreak supported devices. Notably, it doesn’t install Cydia because Saurik hasn’t updated it for iOS 11 just yet. Instead, users need to resort to SSH for installing extensions.
It was just yesterday that CoolStar’s Electra jailbreak tool for iOS 11.0-11.1.2 got updated to beta 8, but many users reported bugs and using it – predominantly with Safari. Fortunately, Electra beta 8-2 launched on Friday with a fix for these issues, among other things.
