Betelguese Odysseyra1n installer for checkra1n’d devices updated to v1.1 with iOS 14.5 support & more

If you were following along yesterday, a bevy of updates to jailbreak-centric software with support for iOS & iPadOS 14.5 were released. This included checkra1n, Cydia Substrate, and Substitute to name a few.

But the updates didn’t stop there. Odyssey Team Web and App Developer @23Aaron_ pushed an update for the macOS-based Betelguese Odysseyra1n installer for checkra1n’d devices, officially bringing it up to version 1.1.

Give your iPhone’s keyboard the personalized touch it deserves with ProKeys

The keyboard is an integral part of the iPhone’s operating system that users will interface with just about every day. It does everything it’s supposed to do right out of the box, yet Apple doesn’t offer much by way of personalization. That’s just one of many reasons why the keyboard is one of the most popular things to customize upon jailbreaking.

One of the latest jailbreak tweaks to lend a hand in this department is a paid release called ProKeys by iOS developer Justin Proulx, which features eye-catching aesthetics like RGB coloring and animations, along with haptic feedback, among other things.

Substitute receives update to version 2.0.11 with support for iOS & iPadOS 14.5

Following the launch of checkra1n version 0.12.3, which added official support for A7 and A11 devices running iOS & iPadOS 14.5, Saurik was quick to update Cydia Substrate so that those devices could enjoy reliable tweak injection.

But Cydia Substrate isn’t the only tweak injection method that works on the checkra1n jailbreak. So too does Substitute, and users of this alternative will likely be looking for a similar update. Fortunately for those folks, said update is now available in the form of Substitute version 2.0.11.

Cydia Substrate updated with fixes for iOS & iPadOS 14.5 users

The checkra1n jailbreak tool was updated to version 0.12.3 Thursday afternoon with official support for iOS & iPadOS 14.5 on A7-A11-equipped devices.

Worthy of note, checkra1n users are more likely than any other modern jailbreak user to be taking advantage of Cydia Substrate for tweak injection, so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Cydia Substrate received a similar update on the same day.

Checkra1n jailbreak updated to version 0.12.3 with M1 Mac support, iOS 14.5 support, & bug fixes

It’s been a hot minute since the checkra1n jailbreak tool received its last update, and given how much has changed since then, it was only a matter of time before it would receive one.

The latest update comes to us this Thursday afternoon in the form of checkra1n version 0.12.3 with official support for up to iOS & iPadOS 14.5 and preliminary support for Apple’s latest M1-equipped Macs along with various bug fixes.

Enable automatic video replays in the Camera Roll with OkReplay

When perusing through your iPhone’s Photo Library, you’ll find all your previously snapped photographs and recorded videos. One thing I’ve always noticed about it, however, is that Apple doesn’t offer an automatic replay option for videos saved in the Photo Library.

Automatic replay is available for video content on many third-party apps, and so it always seemed funky to me that Apple didn’t at least provide the option to do the same in the iPhone’s native Photo Library. With that in mind, it’s unsurprising to see that the jailbreak community has once again provided a feature Apple seemingly forgot.

DontWannaSleepNow makes it easier to unlock your iPhone while in Sleep mode

Apple began integrating sleep-related health feature into the iPhone in iOS 13 with Bedtime, but it wasn’t until iOS 14 that more meaningful sleep-based features such as Sleep Mode came to fruition.

When Sleep Mode is active, your iPhone mutes incoming notifications with Do Not Disturb to keep you asleep and dissuades you from using your iPhone when you should be sleeping by way of a more convoluted Lock Screen that adds an additional button to tap before you can swipe up to unlock.

Mochi is a properly-sized Now Playing widget for jailbroken iPhones with tons of customization

After you begin listening to music on your iPhone, iOS automatically kicks the Now Playing widget into high gear by displaying it on the Lock Screen and in Notification Center.

There’s just one problem: it’s rather big any clunky, and such qualities don’t jibe well with an interface that’s also designed to show the user all of their missed notification banners.

April is a new jailbreak tweak for personalizing the Settings app

Any and all jailbreakers who might be in the market to add a splash of paint to the otherwise boring Settings app user interface should immediately turn their attention to a newly released and free jailbreak tweak called April by iOS developer Luki134.

Not to be confused with the April jailbreak tweak we showed you last year for customizing the Lock Screen, this April jailbreak tweak focuses primarily on allowing the user to customize the look and feel of the Settings app via various configurable parameters.
