The 5 Stages of iPhone 4S Grief

The iPhone 4S is a disappointment to a few people. Some go as far as saying the iPhone 4S sucks! Realistically, and like Alex sarcastically pointed out in his post this morning, I think they're just disappointed at the fact that it's called iPhone 4S and not iPhone 5, and that of course, it uses the same old design as the iPhone 4.

It might be hard for some of you to accept this, and for that reason, Sam Pratt came up with a simple infographic showing the 5 different stages of iPhone 4S grief...

Are You an Apple Fanboy? [Infographic]

With Apple set to unveil the next iPhone tomorrow, 'fanboys' are coming out of the woodworks. Some may call these people 'Apple enthusiasts', while others would call a fanboy something more along the lines of a mindless zombie.

What does it mean to be an Apple fanboy? Let's take a closer look...

And they're pretty spot on. But we'll let you be the judge of that...

Android and iOS are Still Dominating the Mobile OS Market

The debate between Apple's iOS and Android can get heated pretty quickly. I (in some cases) would rank someone's mobile OS preference right up there with their political views. It can get that serious.

But whether you prefer Google's open platform, or Apple's more fenced-off approach, you have to agree with one thing: Both OSes are killing it. The proof is in the numbers, as 9to5Mac points out in Millennial Media's Mobile Mix report...

Store Wars: A History of App Stores [Infographic]

Since its creation in 2008, Apple's App Store has changed the way we buy software. It also revolutionized the rest of the industry, with Google, RIM, Nokia and others quickly following with their own app marketplaces.

A Look at Steve Jobs’ Schedule After Resigning

For the last 11 years, Steve Jobs has been one of the tech world's most recognizable leaders in charge of one of its most powerful companies. So it's not surprising that the news of him stepping down last week seemingly rocked the entire industry.

However, now that Jobs doesn't have to spend his days running the show at Cupertino, he can finally enjoy a little Steve time. Or can he? Cult of Mac passes on this humorous screenshot of the ex CEO's schedule, post-resignation...

The Evolution of the iPhone [Infographic]

When Steve Jobs and company first announced the original iPhone, they said that they were going after 1% of the smartphone market. At the time, there were around 100 million smartphone sales globally, so 1% would have been one million units.

As most of you know by now, Apple has far exceded that goal. In the last quarter alone it shipped over 20 million smartphones. Not bad for only 4 years and 4 handsets into the market. But what's next?

Shining Some Light on Apple’s Copycat Claims With Samsung

Most of you are aware of the litigation between Apple and Samsung. The ongoing court battle between the two handset makers started with Apple accusing Samsung of copying its products.

The 4-month long debate of whether or not Samsung copied Apple in the production of its devices has spilled into the streets. And, for the folks who haven't picked a side yet, the following graphic may help you see who's really to blame...

Who’s Suing Who in the Mobile Industry [Infographic]

Here at iDB we've covered a lot of lawsuits involving Apple and their hit line of iDevices. Most, if not all, of the litigation has involved patents. You know, those little pieces of paper that tie an invention to its inventors.

In fact, these patents have practically turned into weapons in the warzone that is now the mobile industry. It seems like everyone is suing everyone — it's hard to keep up. Luckily, the folks over at Reuters have made a chart to help us out...
