Facebook@Work being worked on

Using Facebook in the workplace could soon become the new normal thanks to a new business product Facebook is said to be currently developing.

Dubbed Facebook@Work, the forthcoming service should permit users to collaborate on projects and connect with professional contacts through group chats and document collaboration with co-workers, three people familiar with the matter told The New York Times newspaper Monday.

As first mentioned by The Financial Times on Monday, Facebook began working on the project years ago, lead by a team based in the firm's London offices. They're currently testing Facebook@Work externally with a handful of outside companies and expect to roll it out “within the coming months.”

iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak uses expired enterprise certificate loophole

You may remember MuscleNerd as being the head of the iPhone Dev Team, which has been on the sidelines in recent years in favor of the Chronic Dev Team and, later, the evad3rs. Nevertheless, the well-known iPhone hacker congratulated the Pangu Team for its impromptu iOS 7.1.1 untethered jailbreak release, in addition to providing some interesting commentary on how the exploit works.

According to his tweets, MuscleNerd says that the most unique part of the Pangu jailbreak is that it uses an expired enterprise certificate as an injection vector. He adds that enterprise certificates are something that have been out of bounds for the iPhone Dev Team, due to legal reasons, but he is glad that this method was used rather than the Pangu team burning through something more native and powerful…

Apple’s Volume Purchase Program expands to Macs with Managed Distribution

Early in the game, Apple took advantage of its Volume Purchase Program (VPP) to allow Business and Education customers to buy iPhone and iPad apps carried on the App Store in bulk and with volume discounts.

Following the free OS X Mavericks update earlier in the month, the company has now updated VPP rules to include Mac App Store apps as well. With this change, Education and Business customers can for the first time buy Mac apps in volume.

In addition, the company has introduced a new Managed Distribution feature for iOS 7 and Mavericks devices which lets businesses and education institutions easily assign and revoke app licenses to individual users. Previously, these high-value customers had to rely on redemption codes to distribute software in bulk...

Yahoo! Mail app now supports multiple personal and Business Mail accounts

Yahoo may have been buying popular iPhone apps lately, but that doesn't mean it's not giving Apple's platform some love. Quite the contrary, in the past few weeks the original Internet giant has released a stunning Weather app, updated Flickr with Instagram-y filters, overhauled News and re-released the native Mail software.

And in today's update, they've added two major features appealing to enterprise and power users.

First up, the application now lets you set up multiple Yahoo Mail accounts on your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad and quickly switch between them without ever signing out...
