The WSJ says LTE iPad 3 is a go for Verizon and AT&T

One of the most controversial rumors regarding the upcoming iPad 3 has been whether or not the tablet will feature 4G technology. While countries like the US and Canada have growing LTE networks, others won't see the tech for at least a year.

Tonight, the Wall Street Journal seemingly puts an end to the speculation. The world-renown newspaper is reporting that it has confirmed that both Verizon and AT&T flavored iPad 3s will include the next-generation wireless technology...

Parts retailer confirms that leaked iPad 3 components could be the real deal

EU and Justice Department give Google the green light for Motorola Mobility purchase

From AllThingsD:

Google has gotten the all-clear from European Union regulators to buy Motorola Mobility, though officials remain concerned about how Google will use Motorola’s patent portfolio.

“This merger decision should not and will not mean that we are not concerned by the possibility that, once Google is the owner of this portfolio, Google can abuse these patents, linking some patents with its Android devices,” Commissioner Joaquin Almunia told reporters, according to Reuters. “This is our worry.”

Hours after the EU gave its agreement, the US Department of Justice gave its blessing as well:

With this, Google is one step closer to closing the deal, although they’re still waiting on approval from China, Taiwan, and Israel before the transaction can officially be completed.

World War III is just about to start, and it's all about patents!

Any search of the internet for "Apple iTV" will serve plenty of results about Apple's supposedly impending release of an Apple television. It's a rumor that just won't die, but it's one that's not entirely new.

In fact, the suggestion that Apple may release an "iTV" back in 2010 left UK broadcaster ITV with little choice but to write to the Cupertino outfit outlining its stance on the name. Put simply, Apple can't use it. At least, not in the UK.

Now the story is rearing its head thanks to a report by the Telegraph, with ITV presumably still not all that keen on Apple stealing its name...
