Apple's official iOS app for the Worldwide Developers Conference has received an update ahead of next month's WWDC 2015 with support for the Apple Watch, conference and schedule information and more.
WWDC 3.0 for the iPhone and iPad puts important conference information right on your wrist. The app can be used to keep tabs on related WWDC news, access floor plans, watch session videos and more.
Apple is really cutting it close if it wants to relaunch Beats Music at its developer conference next month. Citing sources familiar with the company's plans, Billboard reports that it is still missing a number of key licensing deals it would need to secure to unveil a new streaming music service.
"A June launch is still attainable," one source tells Billboard. "If any company can do it, they can." However, another source at a major record label tells the publication that there is no way Apple will be able to pull off a June launch for the new service, saying simply that "the deals aren't done."

Instead of putting up tickets and letting the fastest purchase them within minutes, Apple now uses a lottery system to sell tickets to its World Wide Developers Conference.
The 2015 lottery for a chance to get a WWDC ticket ended at 10AM PST on Friday, and over the weekend, Apple began notifying developers who signed up for a chance to attend the five-day, twenty-sixth in a row WWDC if they get a ticket or not.
Apple this morning announced that its annual developers conference will be kicking off on Monday, June 8, and already social media is trending with news of a revised terms prohibiting the use of selfie sticks and monopods at the show.
“You may not use selfie sticks or similar monopods within Moscone West,” or in the whole Yerba Buena Gardens area around it for that matter, as per this note describing attendance policy available on Apple's WWDC 2015 webpage.
So what's going on here?
Apple's annual summer pilgrimage for its Mac and iOS developers, the Worldwide Developers Conference, is kicking off on Monday, June 8, 2015 and lasting through Friday, June 12, the company confirmed this morning.
The five-day conference, twenty-sixth in a row, will take place at San Francisco’s Moscone West, “with more sessions than ever before streamed” online.
Like prior WWDCs, this year's conference will give Apple's developer community and users around the world much more than a glimpse into the future of iOS and OS X.
Apple's rumored subscription music service based on Beats Music and with stock iOS Music app integration will be formally announced at this year's summer developers conference rather than in March, as previously reported.
Although some have hoped Monday's “Spring Forward” media event might serve as a launchpad for the service, Apple is now reportedly planning on introducing it in beta form at its Worldwide Developers Conference in early June, 9to5Mac said Thursday.
Apple on Friday issued a small update to the official iPhone and iPad application for the Worldwide Developers Conference, its annual pilgrimage for developers which traditionally takes place each summer at San Francisco's Moscone West.
Now sitting at version 2.1.3, the updated software brings out support for the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus screen sizes.
Furthermore, it resolves a bug that would crash the software at launch on devices running iOS 8 or later.

If you've already watched the WWDC 2014 keynote, then you won't see anything new here, but for those of you who haven't, Apple just published the Yosemite design video it showed last week. Titled "The New Look of OS X Yosemite," this short video puts the spotlight on Yosemite's new buttons, font type, icons, use of translucency, as well various other visual elements of OS X Yosemite.
Apple has always wished that it could invite more developers to attend its WWDC conference every June, but Moscone West is one of the biggest venues that it can find in the San Francisco area. Even if Apple had a larger venue, it has become increasingly difficult to secure a WWDC ticket in the first place over the past few years. This time around, Apple implemented a lottery system to determine how the tickets would be dispersed.
Fortunately, if you weren't invited to spend $1,599 on a ticket, Apple has posted a list of WWDC 2014 session videos on its website. The developer sessions cover a wide variety of topics, ranging from iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite to Xcode 6 and OpenGL. The sessions are categorized into the following tracks: Frameworks, Core OS, Tools, Media, Services, Special Events, and Graphics and Games…
CarPlay, Apple's in-car entertainment solution which integrates the iPhone into your car in a safe manner, is receiving some welcomed attention at the WWDC show in San Francisco.
Apple hinted at CarPlay demonstrations by parking a Ferrari inside the Moscone West building, right in front of the keynote line.
Indeed, the company is now using these vehicles to show off CarPlay integration to select members of the press. Among them is the USA Today newspaper whose reporter was able to sneak a peek on CarPlay features in a Chevy Spark.
