Here at iDB we've covered a lot of lawsuits involving Apple and their hit line of iDevices. Most, if not all, of the litigation has involved patents. You know, those little pieces of paper that tie an invention to its inventors.

In fact, these patents have practically turned into weapons in the warzone that is now the mobile industry. It seems like everyone is suing everyone — it's hard to keep up. Luckily, the folks over at Reuters have made a chart to help us out...

It appears fake Apple Stores aren't the only aspects of the Cupertino outfit to fall foul to some dodgy dealings, with M.I.C. Gadget telling of an interesting new book being sold in Taiwan – a book that seems to be a fake Steve Jobs biography.

The impostor's title loosely translates to Steve Jobs Gives 11 Advices to Teenager, according to the site, with the title appearing in the top five business books sold by Taiwanese book store KingStone...

Apple Going After New York City Counterfeit Stores

With Apple's unprecedented success in the retail space, it's no wonder that other businesses have tried to emulate. By now you've likely heard of the string of fake Apple Stores that have been springing up over the last few months.

While the previous counterfeits we've seen were located in China, apparently that's not the only place harboring fakes. Reuters reports that there's a couple of knock off stores located here in the States, and Apple is going after these faux retail outlets...

What’s New in iOS 5 Beta 6

As most of you know already, Apple released iOS 5 Beta 6 to developers earlier today. While we've been able to confirm that the new software is jailbreak-safe, we haven't been able to uncover any major, new features.

Much like its predecessor, Beta 6 seems to be full of minimal enhancements and last minute bug fixes as Apple prepares for an imminent public release. Regardless, the new firmware still has a huge change log. And you can read through it yourself after the break...

Apple seeded beta number 6 of iOS 5 to developers today. And while some folks are rushing out to download the new software, others are waiting for word on if and when it will be jailbroken.

Almost Confirmed: iPad 3 to Receive Retina Display in 2012

With iPad 3 stories currently fighting for attention with iPhone 5 claims and counterclaims, the latest information on Apple's next tablet comes from the always reliable Wall Street Journal.

The WSJ weighed in on the speculation with a claim that their sources believe Apple is now planning to bring the iPad 3 to market some time in 2012, and not the late 2011 window that had previously been banded around.

Interestingly, the Journal also added fuel to the fire with the news that the next iPad will sport a super-high resolution display, bringing the Retina Display to the company's tablet line...

AT&T VP Confirms iPhone 5 Launching in Early October
