Time Warner Cable app could finally land on Apple TV this week

Time Warner Cable's Rob Marcus announced this morning that the company plans to add another platform to the list of those that can access the TWC TV app this week. The app enables TWC subscribers to stream live channels and watch videos on demand.

Now, he didn't say which platform it is exactly, but given that the app is already available on Roku, Xbox 360, and various smart TVs and mobile devices, there aren't many options left. And this of course has led to speculation that it's finally coming to Apple TV...

New slide-on case gives your iPhone a BlackBerry-style keyboard

Apple gave physical keyboards the finger (literally) when it introduced the all-touchscreen iPhone back in 2007. Skeptics were quick to dismiss the device, saying a touchscreen could never replace a physical keyboard, but it has since become the norm.

But for the folks who still long for a physical keyboard, there are several options to choose from that allow you to keep your iPhone. And today we're adding a new one to the stack for all of you BlackBerry fans: the Typo Keyboard case for the iPhone 5/5s...

Watch LeAnn Rimes’s latest music vid, shot entirely on iPhone

Here's something awesome. The Grammy award-winning artist LeAnn Rimes has tasked her crew with filming the entire video for Gasoline and Matches, a single from her latest album, Spitfire, on Apple's iPhone, the artist has confirmed.

They opted for the Apple smartphone for footage and stop-motion animation because that particular pocket camera is "easy, affordable and portable" versus your average filmmaker's heavy gear. The result is nothing short of astonishing, as Rimes' music video included after the break attests for itself...

AT&T now offers LTE roaming in Canada on Rogers

AT&T announced this morning that it has become the first major United States wireless carrier to offer international LTE roaming through a newly-launched LTE roaming partnership in Canada with Rogers Communications. The carrier blankets about 70 percent of Canadians with its fourth-generation Long-Term Evolution (LTE) signal, including major cities like Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver.

The roaming partnership should appeal to AT&T's users who need to access Roger's LTE network when visiting Canada. Previously, AT&T users worried about giving up 4G speeds when crossing the border.

But as you could probably imagine, roaming deals don't come cheap and that's exactly the case with the AT&T-Rogers partnership as well. I've included more tidbits for you right after the break...

The long-enduring game of cat and mouse between Apple, the maker of the world's most popular smartphone, and China Mobile, the world's top wireless carriers with more than 700 million subscribers (the equivalent of over twice the US population), looks to be ending as the carrier is expected to start taking pre-orders for the iconic device later this week, reports The Wall Street Journal.
