Apple seeds sixth betas of iOS 12.2, tvOS 12.2, watchOS 5.2 and macOS 10.14.4 to developers

Apple on Monday seeded the sixth betas of iOS 12.2, tvOS 12.2, watchOS 5.2 and macOS 10.14.4 to developers. Registered devs can install the updates via each platform's respective OTA mechanism, or through the Developer Center. Today's releases come one week after beta 5, and one week before Apple's 'It's show time' media event, suggesting we are nearing the public launch.

Jay Freeman’s Cydia package manager has long enjoyed being the default platform for installing jailbreak apps and tweaks on jailbroken handsets, but even this renowned piece of software has a predecessor.

Veteran jailbreakers who’ve been pwning their handsets since the iPhoneOS 1 days will do good to remember the original package manager for jailbroken devices – Installer 3 by Ripdev & Nullriver Software – and after more than a decade, the project is now being open-sourced.

nControl lets you use console controllers with your jailbroken iPhone or iPad

Many agree that console-based gaming is significantly more immersive than mobile gaming on an iPhone or iPad, and one of the primary factors to be considered in that is having access to a gaming controller that feels good in your hand.

A limited number of MFI (made for iPhone) controllers reside on the market today, but they often fall short of the classics. That’s why iOS developer Kevin Bradley created a new jailbreak tweak called nControl, which adds support for a bevy of popular game console controllers to a subset of iOS games.

Neptune for iPhone brings several newer features to unsupported handsets and firmware versions

Apple is renowned for introducing new features that are specific to certain devices or firmware versions, and if you’re jailbroken on an older device/firmware combination, then you might be inclined to feel a bit left out. For this very reason, iOS developer Duraid Abdul has just released a new free jailbreak tweak dubbed Neptune for iPhone.

Citing the points made by the developer in the tweak’s Cydia depiction, Neptune for iPhone brings each of the following features to the table for jailbreakers using iOS 12.0-12.1.2:
