Pre-Order Your (Black) iPhone 4 Now

You can now pre-order your iPhone 4 now from Apple's website, or you can reserve it for in-store pick up on June 24th.

Hopefully you will have more luck than I did. I've been trying to pre-order a 32GB iPhone 4 for the last 30 minutes and I keep getting various error messages urging me to choose the in-store pickup option.

The rumors about the white iPhone missing were spot on. Per Apple's website, you will not be able to pre-order or get a white iPhone anytime soon. Why? I have no idea.

Now go for it and let me know how your pre-order went.

Proswitcher for iPad Alpha Release Available

Proswitcher for iPad is now available in alpha release. Ryan Petrich, most likely my favorite jailbreak developer, just informed me that he made Proswitcher for iPad available to the general public instead of pushing the alpha to just a few users.

For those of you who don't know Proswitcher, it is a great jailbreak app that gives a nice and simple UI to Backgrounder, the app that first brought multitasking to the iPhone.

You can get Proswitcher HD (or whatever it will be called) on your iPad by adding the following source to Cydia: http://rpetri.ch/repo.

Be warned! This is an alpha release which means it can be very buggy. As soon as I installed the app, my screen froze, I hard rebooted several times until the issue finally disappeared. Other than that, I haven't had any issue.

I'm very excited to get Proswitcher on my iPad. That is one jailbreak app I was really missing.

Give it a try and tell us what you think.

Thanks to @MikeErickson for the tip.

Your iPhone Needs to Grow Some Balls

After starting the day with a ridiculous story, I thought I'd keep going with some just-as-ridiculous accessory for iPhone.

Let me introduce you to PhoneBalls, a stylish and classy protective case for iPhone:

Need to protect your iPhone from everyday cuts and scrapes? Have a soft spot in your heart for testicles? Just feel like your iPhone needs some balls?

Presenting phoneballs…. maybe not a revolution in protective silicone cases, but we think a pretty fun way to show your support for those little fellas that give us so much.

Whether male or female, chances are you have been touched by a pair of balls in your life…. don't you want to touch em back?

Besides being a real gas at social gatherings, these are great silicone cases. They really fit snuggly, they "nestle to the goods"…

You can order a special set of blue balls for $15, including shipping. Best of all, 10% of all proceeds will go to testicular cancer research. This company sure has some balls!

Is the iPhone 4 Screen Really Better? Heck Yes!

There's been quite a bit of controversy about the now infamous iPhone 4 retina display. In short, Apple makes some claims about the new display that are disputed by industry experts.

Like Patrick Beja says, the claims and controversy doesn't really matters in the end. What really matters is to know whether the new iPhone 4 screen is better than the iPhone 3GS or not.

To put an end to the debate, Scoble posted pictures of both displays. You be the judge. I think it's pretty clear and obvious that the iPhone 4 has a better screen, but that's not really surprising. After all, the iPhone 4 is a newer device and I can't see why the screen display wouldn't be as good or even better than the iPhone 3GS'.

Your thoughts?

Comex Gives Us A Preview of Flash on the iPhone

Comex, the guy behind the Spirit jailbreak, recently posted this video on YouTube showing an iPhone running Flash. We don't have any additional information about this.

When you see what a great job Comex was able to do with Spirit, I can't wait to see what he's got up his sleeves to run Flash on the iPhone.

Comex is not the only one working on porting Flash to iOS. Chris Smoak recently unveiled SmokeScreen, a workaround that will allow you to play Flash content on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

Man Offers to Trade Weed for iPad on Craigslist

Do you want an iPad so bad that you're willing to do anything to get one? If so, don't be as stupid as 20-year old Jacob Walker who published an ad on Craigslist offering a quarter of chronic and an iPod Touch in exchange for a 32GB iPad.

As if the description of the ad wasn't enough, Walker also added a picture to his listing, which is probably what caught the local police's attention... After setting up a fake meeting with Walker, the cops arrested him and his buddy.

One question remains though: if the weed was that good, why didn't walker ask for a 64GB iPad 3G. We might never know. [via AZ Family]

This year for the release of the iPhone 4, AT&T is giving a special gift to some of its customers. If you are an iPhone customer eligible for an upgrade between today and the end of 2010, you have been made immediately eligible for the best pricing for the iPhone 4 with a new 2-year contract.

My (Belated) First Impressions of the iPad

At the time I started writing this, it was April 27, and it was the first day I had my iPad. A little late to the game you may think, but if you follow this blog on a regular basis, you may know that I was out of the country traveling for the last 7 months.

I took advantage of my return ticket from Brisbane, flew 11 hours to Los Angeles, picked up a 16GB iPad at a nearby Apple Store and jumped in another plane a couple hours later to go to France. That was a wild trip!

During the last 6 weeks, I have been able to use the iPad in all every possible way and today, I think I can give you a honest review of the "magical device".

iMovie for iPhone Will Only Run on the iPhone 4

When Apple revealed the iPhone 4 last week, they also announced iMovie for iPhone, a video editing application that goes beyond the trimming option of the iPhone 3GS. Much was left unknown about iMovie, with many people asking about the capabilities of this soon-to-be-released application.

Jeff Carlson of TiBits got a bit more information about iMovie from one of his sources at Apple:

iMovie for iPhone will be for the iPhone 4 only. It will not be compatible with the 3GS or older models because it requires the A4 chip iMovie will not be able to run on the iPad Edited movies can be transferred to iTunes but they can't be further edited on iMovie on the Mac.

At $4.99, that is an application I will make sure to download as soon as I get my hands on the iPhone 4.

Can’t Wait for the iPhone 4? Get This DIY Paper iPhone 4 Now

We're still about 2 weeks away from the official release of the iPhone 4. If you're like me, you're probably counting every minute of it. Rejoice because the wait is almost over.

You can now get your very own iPhone 4 in paper by downloading the template here and by cutting, folding and sticking the different parts.

Alright, it's now time for me to go show off my paper iPhone 4 at the mall. Later!

This Has to Be the Coolest iPad Docking Station Ever

Are you in a retro mood? Or maybe you just want to give your iPad a more classic look? Then check this out.

The guys over at site hirac took a Macintosh Classic, removed the screen and every other component and finally modified the casing so the iPad can fit in there and replace the screen.

It might not be very convenient to use but it sure looks good.
