Must Have iPad Accessory: the iArm

Here is a must-have accessory for every iPad owner out there: the iArm.

Delta Technology presents the iArm, the forearm mount that gives you, well, an extra arm.  Just 4.5 lbs and fully adjustable, the iArm lets you take your favorite gadget with you.  And with the optional "multi-mount", you can secure up to three items at once.  Attaches to tablet PCs, eReaders, remotes & more!

Yes, this is obviously a fake... but real. You can get the iArm box for $8. A great idea to fool a friend.

pod2g Leaves the Chronic Dev Team. Is Greenpois0n Endangered?

pod2g, the guy who discovered the SHAtter exploit that will hopefully allow the GreenPois0n jailbreak to come to life, just announced he is leaving the Chronic Dev Team.

In a series of tweets, pod2g explained that he's not working with the Chronic Dev Team anymore and that he will now be working independently. The question that comes to mind when reading this is: will the developement of GreenPois0n be affected?

Create Folders Inside Folders on Your iPhone with FoldersInFolders

It was only a matter of time until such an app showed up in Cydia. Actually, I'm surprised it hadn't been done before. FoldersInFolders is a new jailbreak app that allows you to create folders inside folders on your iPhone.

iOS came with this beautifully implemented Folders feature but unfortunately, it doesn't allow you to add folders inside other folders. This tweak will do the job for you. Video and more info below...

Steve Jobs Email About the White iPhone 4 Coming for Christmas Was a Fake

Last week we broke the news about an email that Steve Jobs had sent as a reply to one of our readers. The email was about the white iPhone 4 and implied it would be available by Christmas.

I had been "tipped" several times with emails from Steve Jobs but I never published them because they looked really fake. This one however seemed completely legit and I trusted our reader Nathan about the whole thing. I was wrong. Let me explain...

What Do You Think About My All Black iPhone 4?

I recently ordered a decal for my MacBook Pro from LuckyLabs and they were kind enough to add a few items to my order for free. One of the freebies they gave me is their iPhone 4 Spectra Wrap, which I hurried to put on my iPhone because I thought it would give it a nice touch.

These wraps are pretty cheap. You get 3 of them in the colors you want for $10. It's easy to install and I do think it looks really good. There's however a little downside to it...

This iPhone App Lets You Type Upside Down

I was just tipped by iDB reader Plot66 about this application called Flip / Bubble Text which allows you to type uʍop ǝpısdn or in ⓑⓤⓑⓑⓛⓔ ⓛⓔⓣⓣⓔⓡⓢ, then easily copy the text to another app or post the text directly to Facebook and Twitter.

I posted an upside down tweet earlier today and many of you asked me how I did it so I figured I'd share the trick with you...

Google Voice App GV Mobile+ for iPhone Released

Sean Kovacs's Google Voice application for iPhone GV Mobile+ has finally been released in the App Store. After being removed from the App Store for replicating already existing features of the iPhone, Google Voice Mobile made its way to Cydia. Then when Apple loosened the app approval process a few days ago, they told Kovacs he could resubmit his application.

GV Mobile+ is probably the most popular Google Voice application, but it is not the first one to appear in the App Store. Yesterday, GV Connect was officially approved and became the first Google Voice application to return to the Store for download...

Update on the GreenPois0n Jailbreak for iPhone

It seems GreenPois0n is going to be the next jailbreak for iOS 4.1 thanks to a new bootrom exploit that will supposedly work for the iPhone 4, the iPad, as well as the new iPod Touch.

Because everyone wants to know what's going on, the Chronic Dev Team gave a "no-update update" on their blog about the future potential GreenPois0n jailbreak, saying things were going swimmingly, to paraphrase them.

I guess the team has been receiving many emails and tweets from people eagerly waiting for a jailbreak for iOS 4.1. Here is the full update given by the Chronic Dev Team:

SwitcherMod App for iPhone

SwitcherMod is a new jailbreak application available in Cydia that supposedly improves the iPhone app switcher. I say "supposedly" because I fail to see the usefulness of this applications.

Developed my Ryan Petrich, one of my favorite jailbreak developers, SwitcherMod allows you to drag icons to reorder them. It also allows you to make exited apps transparent and show the "close" button by default...

First Google Voice Application Reappears in the App Store

We've been talking quite a bit about Google Voice on the blog the last few days because Apple apparently started telling developers it was ok to submit Google Voice applications again in the App Store.

Although he was getting everybody's attention, developer Sean Kovacs is not the only one working on Google Voice applications, and someone actually came up with a Google Voice app before him...

Is Apple Trying to Turn the iPod Touch into an iPhone?

The guys over at Patently Apple uncovered an interesting patent filing from Apple revealing an accessory transceiver that could provide the iPod Touch with access to a mobile telephone network.

According the patent, this accessory transceiver could be connected wirelessly or physically to the iPod Touch. Not only it would work for an iPod Touch, but it also seems it would work with any mobile device, like a Blackberry, a camera, etc...

FolderEnhancer Tweak Makes Your iPhone Folders Better

FolderEnhancer is a jailbreak application by Japanese developer Ashikase that should be available in Cydia soon. This is still a beta project but it seems to be very promising.

According to this video, FolderEnhancer will allow to open folders much faster than Apple's stock folders, and it will also allow us to have multiple pages of icons within a folder. Another interesting feature is that we'll finally be able to add folders insider folders...
