Today, Cydia creator Jay Freeman (Saurik) released an update to his tool Cydia Impactor, which allows the signing and installing of .ipa files to iOS devices.
With it comes a new tool called Cydia Extender, which allows installing and re-signing of .ipa files on-device. However, don't get too excited by this news; it is not the solution to the 7-day signing problem that many have been waiting for.
As some of you may have seen from my tweet yesterday, there is some exciting news afoot for owners of 32-bit devices on iOS 9.
A group of developers including alitek12, ee_csw and Trevor Schmitt have stated that they are working on a downgrade solution which will allow users of legacy devices to escape from iOS 9.3.5 and return to a jailbreakable iOS 9 firmware.

In this guide we will focus instead on how to install the liberTV application to your Apple TV, and how to use it to jailbreak.
When you send files to your Mac via AirDrop, the received files are automatically saved to the Downloads folder. While this is a logical place for them to go, it's non-configurable and lumps them in with your Mail attachments and Safari downloads.
This approach is not granular enough for some users who may wish to designate a specific folder for AirDrop files to be saved to. Although macOS does not allow this out of the box, it's possible with some straightforward steps.

As you may recall, a couple of days ago we reported on an upcoming jailbreak for the Apple TV 4 and tvOS 10, from macOS and iOS internals researcher Jonathan Levin. At that time the tool was undergoing some final beta testing, but as of today the wait is over, and the jailbreak has been made available to the public.
As previously reported here on iDB, rumours of a jailbreak for the oft-neglected Apple TV 4 have been circulating since soon after the disclosure of Ian Beer's Project Zero exploits, and especially since those exploits were used by Luca Todesco to fashion the Yalu jailbreak for iOS 10.0-10.2.
It was discovered soon after Yalu was released that many of the exploits used were also present on tvOS, and Apple TV developer nitoTV commented that consequently the jailbreak could be ported, with modifications, to that platform.
With macOS Sierra, Apple dropped support for some of its hardware models for the first time in several years. Citing various incompatibilities and hardware deficiencies, they cut out a large swathe of machines from running Sierra. However, many Mac owners have questioned their motives, observing that some machines have made the cut whilst their more powerful contemporaries (such as the MacBook Pro) have mysteriously been left behind.
This led some to conclude that Apple is simply raising the bar to encourage hardware upgrades, and that there is often no incontrovertible hardware reason which dictates the unsupported machines. In many cases this turned out to be true, and with a few tweaks and amendments many of the "unsupported" machines have been brought back into the fold by a tool by dosdude1, called macOS Sierra Patcher. Are you are stuck on iOS 10.2.1 or higher, having missed the iOS 10.2 signing window and therefore the Yalu jailbreak? If so, you may be in luck today, provided you have the correct setup. Early reports have come in that some devices are creating nonce collisions on iOS 10.3 b1, providing an indirect route back to iOS 10.2 through Prometheus.
For this clever workaround to come off, you must have a device which produces collisions, namely the iPhone 5s or (possibly, though not confirmed on iOS 10.3 b1), an iPad Air. If you do, you may be able to downgrade from iOS 10.2.1 to iOS 10.2 and jailbreak, by first downloading and installing iOS 10.3 beta 1, and then downgrading to iOS 10.2 using futurerestore.
One of the more common questions we've been getting here at iDB since the release of the Yalu jailbreak for iOS 10 is when AppSync Unified, from Karen Tsai (angelXwind), would be getting an update to make it compatible with the new jailbreak.
As you may be aware, many people got themselves into a respring loop of some description by installing AppSync soon after the Yalu jailbreaks came out. That should now have been fixed with this new beta version of AppSync Unified, available on Karen's Cydia repository.
Those of you who have jailbroken in recent times, with either yalu1011, yalu102, Home Depot, or Pangu 9.2-9.3.3, can't have failed to notice a new feature of these tools which jailbreakers never had to contend with before.
I'm not referring to the semi-untether here, but rather to the installing of a profile on your device which signs the jailbreak app for a certain amount of time. iOS 10 jailbreakers particularly have felt the irritation of this limitation, but all that may be about to change, based on some tentative words from Cydia creator Jay Freeman (Saurik).
At the same time, other workarounds for the seven-day signing limit have started surfacing; these are almost all a bad idea, and should be avoided.
Since the release of yalu102 for iOS 10.0-10.2, users of the newest jailbreak have been unable to make new purchases on the Cydia store. This is completely normal behaviour; Saurik disables purchases on new firmware versions until both Cydia and the jailbreak reach a level of stability. The reason for this is to prevent complaints, refunds, and device problems brought about by the purchase and use of incompatible tweaks.
Today Cydia 1.1.28 exited beta, and that, in combination with the relative stability of the later yalu102 beta builds, seems to have satisfied Saurik as to the platform's readiness to receive paid transactions.
Developer jk9357 has announced the release of an iOS 9 jailbreak, for 32-bit devices only. The name of the tool is Home Depot, and although some users have reported the tool is not working on their device yet, the news will be warmly received by those whose legacy devices have been so unloved of late.
