iTunes has all 7 Saw movies for $30 and other Halloween deals

With Halloween coming up tomorrow, Apple has discounted a number of horror movies in its iTunes Store down to $9.99. It's also added Saw: The Complete Collection to its Movie Bundles section, which includes all 7 movies from the popular franchise for just $29.99.

Given that each Saw movie typically sells for $12.99, this deal is a savings of more than $60. But if you're not a fan of the Jigsaw killer, there are plenty of other notable movies on sale, including genre classics such as Poltergeist, The Shining, and The Blair Witch Project.

PAC-MAN Friends is exactly what it appears to be—a modern twist on an arcade classic. Using simple tilt controls, players are tasked with maneuvering PAC-MAN through progressively challenging mazes to rescue his friends from the Ghosts' Castle.

Among the improvements, Skype has made it easier for users to copy a link in a group chat, and leave conversations. It's also fixed the issue that caused crashing when making a video call on Yosemite, as well as the bug related to sending contact info.

Microsoft launches $199 fitness band with 10 sensors

Microsoft this morning unveiled its long-rumored wearable: the Microsoft Band. With a design resembling Samsung's Gear Fit, the fitness-tracking wristband features 10 sensors, supports all major mobile platforms, and integrates with Microsoft's new cloud-based Health service.

Interestingly enough, Microsoft decided to skip any kind of media event or press release, opting instead to reveal the device to Recode following the discovery of new Health apps on iOS and Android last night. So was this meant to downplay an insignificant launch? Let's find out.

Microsoft outs upcoming ‘Band’ wearable in new Health app

Microsoft has outed its upcoming 'Band' wearable in what appears to be the premature release of multiple applications. This evening, 'Microsoft Health' landed in iPhone, Android and Windows stores, and a Microsoft Band Sync client popped up in the Mac App Store.

It's unknown at this time if the releases were unintentional, or part of a cheeky PR stunt, but it's likely the former, given the scope of the apps. Microsoft has long been rumored to be working on a cross-platform wearable, and recent reports say it's preparing for launch.

Apple’s Greg Joswiak apologizes for iOS 8.0.1 bug, blames it on distribution

Continuing with their high profile interviews, Recode's Ina Fried and Walt Mossberg brought Apple's VP of iPhone marketing Greg Joswiak up on stage today at their Code/Mobile event. The trio discussed a number of topics, including Apple Pay, Apple Watch and Apple's recent software woes.

Given the nature of the questions, and Apple's devotion to PR control, a lot of Joswiak's answers sound very similar to things we've heard Tim Cook say recently. However, Fried and Mossberg do manage to pry some original, interesting tidbits from the executive during the course of their talk.

Feedly app updated with support for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, tagging and more

Popular RSS service Feedly has posted an update for its iOS app, bringing the client to version 24.0. The update brings about support for the higher resolution displays of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, as well as the ability to tag articles in-app.

Both of these changes are welcomed improvements, considering the larger iPhones have been out for more than a month now, and Feedly users have long been requesting that the team add the ability to organize content in the app via tags.

T-Mobile’s John Legere on iPhone 6 demand, Apple SIM, and more

While Tim Cook was speaking over at The Wall Street Journal’s inaugural WSJ.D Live conference, T-Mobile CEO John Legere joined Ina Fried on stage at Recode's Code/Mobile event earlier this evening. During the interview, the outspoken executive covered a range of interesting topics.

Among those topics was iPhone 6 demand. Legere said that the debut of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus was T-Mobile's biggest phone launch in company history. He also noted that demand for the larger 6 Plus has been "mind blowing," accounting for nearly 50% of iPhone 6 mix at one point.

Tim Cook talks Apple Watch battery, Apple Pay numbers and more in WSJ interview

Tim Cook took the stage earlier tonight at the Wall Street Journal’s inaugural WSJ.D Live conference at the Montage resort in Laguna Beach, California. The CEO participated in a lengthy interview, as well as a Q&A session, which produced some pretty interesting tidbits regarding Apple and its products.

Of course, given that Cook has done a handful of high profile interviews in recent months, you've probably heard some of the stuff mentioned at tonight's event. However, he does offer up some new information regarding Apple Watch battery life, why the iPod classic was discontinued, and other morsels.

Wells Fargo offering card holders $20 to try Apple Pay

In an effort to encourage users to try out Apple Pay, Wells Fargo has launched a program that offers $20 to card holders who use the service. The rules are simple: make an Apple Pay purchase with your Wells Fargo Credit Card by November 30, 2014, and you'll earn a $20 statement credit.

The bank published the details of the promotion on its website early Monday, along with other Apple Pay information. Wells Fargo says that Apple Pay purchases are covered under its Zero Liability fraud protection service, and are also compatible with its popular loyalty rewards program.
