Find out how use a plain black, white, blue, red, green, yellow, purple, pink, or any other solid color as your iPhone Lock Screen and Home Screen wallpaper, without having to download any such image file from the Internet!
iOS has several built-in wallpaper options, and one that many people don’t know about is the solid uni-color background.
While you may have your own reasons for setting a single color background, I usually use a pitch-black wallpaper on my iPhone to save battery when I know I won’t have access to a charger for quite some time. The second reason is when I want my Lock Screen or Home Screen screenshot to be of a small file size, and the final reason is when I’m looking to keep things minimal.
Set a solid color wallpaper on iPhone or iPad
1) Open the iOS Settings app and tap Wallpaper > Add New Wallpaper.
2) Select the Color wallpaper option from the top.
3) You’ll see a simple color selector over a gradient background. Tap a color like black, white, yellow, blue, or use the rainbow dot in the upper left corner to select from millions of options.
4) After selecting the color, tap anywhere outside the Background Color box to hide it. Then, swipe left until you reach the last Solid filter.
5) Tap Add, followed by tap Set as Wallpaper Pair to add this solid color as your iPhone Lock Screen and Home Screen background. Or, tap Customize Home Screen to set another color or image as the Home Screen background.
