After his well-known Apple accessories firm Pad & Quill went out of business, former president Brian Holmes is back with a new one called Burton Goods.
To celebrate the launch, Burton Goods took twenty percent off of the entire lineup on its website. The grand opening discount is automatically applied when you add products to the shopping cart, before checkout (no coupon code required).
Pad & Quill, which debuted in 2010, went out of business after thirteen years of designing, building and marketing premium leather accessories for Apple gear, including iPhone cases, MacBook sleeves, Apple Watch bands, etc.

Pad & Quill goes out of business
“We at Pad & Quill have had headwinds that are too large to overcome, and we have decided to close the business. ” Pad & Quill President Brian Holmes said of the closure. “We are thankful for our customers over the years. It’s been a blast creating unique accessories for Apple products,” he added in a blog post.

However, as with all life’s most incredible journeys, the road took an unexpected sharp turn in 2019. A daunting personal and financial storm swept through my life, casting unwelcome shadows over my ability to steer Pad & Quill–both from the helm of designing and managing finances—a crisis exacerbated by the advent of the global pandemic in 2020.

Tragically, like a ship swallowed whole by an unforgiving sea, Pad & Quill succumbed. Despite fighting the tide for four long years, in the bleak winter of 2023, Pad & Quill was claimed by bankruptcy, its voyage meeting a heartbreaking end.
