Havoc repository announces newfangled support for TrollStore (.tipa) project hosting

The Havoc repository is once again expanding its presence in our iPhone hacking and jailbreaking communities — this time moving quickly to embrace TrollStore add-ons.

Havoc Repo TrollStore Support.

The Havoc repository announced the latest change by way of a post shared on the Havoc News website. Havoc’s CEO Alex Stich had this to say about the change:

We are excited to introduce support for TrollStore IPA files on Havoc, offering our community even more choices and opportunities. With CopyLog leading the way, users can now enjoy the benefits of TrollStore-compatible applications through Havoc, making our marketplace even more versatile and user-friendly.

The newfangled TrollStore add-on support means that TrollStore add-on developers can now upload .tipa files to the Havoc repository so that users can purchase and/or download them from the Havoc repository website.

TrollStore add-ons join an already dynamic marketplace on the Havoc platform. Despite first starting out as a jailbreak tweak-only platform, Havoc slowly rolled out support for themes and then later supported themes for non-jailbroken devices via the Shortcuts app.

Whether users are jailbroken or not, the Havoc repository offers a dashboard offers a place where developers can not only reach more users, but also sell their work or offer discounts.

The first package to officially roll out with the new TrollStore support on the Havoc repository is CopyLog for TrollStore, and as we can already see, the developer of this add-on is making use of Havoc’s discount tools to offer a 50% discount to users who already own and use the jailbreak tweak version of CopyLog.

It will indeed be interesting to see whether other developers choose to host their TrollStore add-ons via Havoc. Most developers have used GitHub to host and distribute their work up until now, and it remains to be seen if developers will switch to Havoc going forward.

Are you excited to use the Havoc repository as a means to download and install TrollStore packages going forward? Let us know why or why not in the comments section down below.
