Nomad bringing Qi2 compatibility to brand’s popular Stand magnetic wireless charger

Remember earlier this year when Nomad launched their all-new Stand wireless charger with MagSafe for the MagSafe-compatible iPhones? Who doesn’t? That was one slick wireless charger.

Nomad Stand Qi2 Magnetic Wireless Charger is coming soon.

Just this week, however, the brand announced its plans to release a Qi2-compatible version of its Stand wireless charger, featuring the same great aesthetics and high-speed 15W wireless charging, albeit with a smaller price tag.

Nomad’s Stand Qi2 Magnetic Wireless Charger is backward-compatible with all MagSafe devices and features magnets to place the device right in the optimal location for the most efficient charging.

Given that this is a stand, it also works great with iOS 17’s new StandBy Mode feature.

Built from beautiful glass and metal materials, Nomad’s Stand Qi2 Magnetic Wireless Charger will be available in either black or white color-ways, allowing it to complement any desk space.

Each unit comes with a 2-meter-long USB-C to USB-C cable, but you will need to supply your own 20W power adapter. Fortunately, Nomad sells those too.

If you’re interested in checking out one of Nomad’s new Qi2-enabled Stand Magnetic Wireless Chargers, then you should visit the brand’s web page where they’re expected to be available for sale in the coming weeks. Prospective buyers can sign up via email to reserve their notification when available.

Nomad’s Qi2 Stand Magnetic Wireless Charger comes in at $100 — that’s $10 less than the MagSafe version and works with more devices.

Please note that the iPhone 15 lineup is the only iPhone lineup capable of charging at the full 15W via Qi2. Older MagSafe-compatible handsets will charge at the slower 10W rate.
