If you’re subscribed to Apple News+, you can now access the premium daily sports journalism of The Athletic at no additional charge.
According to the announcement in the Apple Newsroom, The Athletic content is available to Apple News+ subscribers starting today. In addition, Wirecutter will be available for free to all Apple News users beginning early next year.
The Athletic can be accessed through the Sports tab in the News app on an iPhone, iPad and Mac in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.

The Athletic provides best-in-class team coverage, as well as coverage of the biggest and most compelling stories in sports daily, across the major sports leagues. Additionally, Wirecutter will be available for free to all Apple News users beginning early next year.
The Athletic employs more than 450 full-time writers, editors and producers.
The outlet covers professional and college teams across the major sports leagues globally, including the English Premier League, NFL, NBA, WNBA, NHL, MLS, PGA, National Women’s Soccer League, NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision, NCAA men’s college basketball, NCAA women’s college basketball, LaLiga, UEFA Champions League and more.
