TrollStore updated to version 2.0.8 to fix Chinese Wi-Fi bug & add exploit improvements

TrollStore, the perma-signing utility that allows users to install apps outside of the App Store on their iPhone or iPad permanently as opposed to short periods as sideloading allows, picked up another update on Wednesday to version 2.0.8.

TrollStore v2.0.8 announced.

Project lead developer Lars Fröder (@opa334dev) shared the latest release in a post to X (formerly Twitter) this afternoon, linking to the GitHub page where the latest update can currently be acquired.

Citing the change log, TrollStore version 2.0.8 introduces the following changes:

– Fix Chinese Wi-Fi issues on iOS & iPadOS 16+
– Deprecate TSBundlePreSigned in favor of TSPreAppliedExploitType (1 for signed with old bug, 2 for signed with new bug) TSBundlePreSigned=1 is treated as TSPreAppliesExoloitType=1

If you’re an existing TrollStore user, then you can update over the air with the dedicated update button in the Settings tab. You can also manually install the latest .ipa from GitHub over your existing installation if you wish.

More tutorials for newer firmware are under development, so stay tuned!

TrollStore recently picked up support for iOS & iPadOS 15.5-16.6.1 and 17.0 by way of a new CoreTrust bug starting with version 2.0.0. While the support is there, installing it on newer firmware beyond the scope of the kfd exploit (iOS & iPadOS 16.0-16.6 beta 1) is noting short of tricky.
