Picasso gets more updates to improve TrollStore installation user experience

Picasso, a jailed toolbox for kfd exploit-vulnerable arm64e (A12+) devices running iOS & iPadOS 16.0-16.6 beta 1, received an update to version 3 yesterday with initial support for installing TrollStore 2 via the kfd exploit.

For at least two days after TrollStore 2’s launch, users can take advantage of this installation method at no cost, but the offer won’t last forever. It ends tomorrow.

In the meantime, project lead developer @sourcelocation has pushed two more open beta updates, called Picasso v3 open beta 2 and Picasso v3 open beta 3. These updates include bug fixes and improvements that we’ll outline in more detail below:

Picasso v3 open beta 2

– Fixed all possible MacDirtyCow issues when installing TrollStore on iOS & iPadOS 15.6-16.1.2, meaning that all versions in this range have been tested and confirmed working
– Background refresh is working once again

Picasso v3 open beta 3

– Shows a tip if TrollStore is not installed
– More useful text and instructions on installations of TrollStore
– Increased reliability of kfd
– Repo error handling. If there is an error in the repo system (incorrect URL for example) it will show debug info now

If you’re interested in giving the latest version of Picasso v3 open beta a try, then you can join the project’s Discord server and acquire the latest .ipa at your earliest convenience. You can then sideload it using your preferred method of choice.
