Apple just streamed its “Scary Fast” Apple Event on 30th October 2023, introducing new chips, namely M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max, along with new 14-in and 16-in MacBook Pro with these family of chips. They also refreshed the 24-inch iMac with the latest M3 chip.
The new M3 chips are based on the 3-nanometer architecture and have a significant performance boost while consuming less battery when compared to the M1 family of chips as well as the old Intel processors.
So if you are on an Intel MacBook Pro or your workload has increased, and the M1 machine is no longer keeping up with your demand, these ‘wicked fast’ new M3 Macs can offer you a significant improvement in all tasks.
The new 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro also comes in two colors: Space Gray and Silver. M3 iMac continues to have seven gorgeous colors like before.
One really surprising thing during this event was the reduction of price for the entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro. Earlier, it started at $1,999, but now that has been reduced to $1,599. The starting price for the 16-inch MacBook Pro has remained unchanged, and it still starts at $2,499. Similarly, the M3 iMac line still starts at $1,299, which is the same as the M1 iMac.
The new M3 MacBooks can be ordered starting today, and the first customers will start getting them from November 7th, 2023.
