Apple will hold an online event on Monday, October 30, at 5pm PT that’s expected to serve as a launch pad for several new Apple silicon Mac computers.
The company sent out invites today, featuring its logo set against a solid black background and the tagline Apple “Scary Fast.” The invite doesn’t reveal what the event will focus on. However, an animation on the Apple Events page that morphs the logo into a Finder icon leaves little room for speculation—it’s about Macs.
Apple to unveil new Macs at an October 30 event
“You’re invited to watch a special Apple Event online,” the invite reads. “Tune in at apple.com,” it continues, proving that this will be yet another pre-taped presentation broadcast online rather than a physical event with in-person attendance.
The presentation will start streaming at 5pm Pacific Time / 2pm Eastern Time, an unusual time for an Apple event held on the eve of Halloween. Just three days later, the iPhone maker is scheduled to announce results for its June quarter.
What to expect from Apple’s Mac event
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman was the first journalist to report that Apple will most likely hold another event before 2023 wraps up at the end of October.
He claimed the Cupertino tech giant would use the product presentation to unveil a new model of the iMac all-in-one desktop, as well as refresh the 13-inch MacBook Pro, 14-inch MacBook Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M3 chips.
He doesn’t expect any new iPads until at least March 2024, however.
