Apple just jacked up Arcade, TV+ and News+ subscription prices; the Apple One bundle now more expensive as a result

Higher subscription prices for the Apple Arcade, TV+ and News+ services have resulted in the Apple One bundle becoming more expensive, too.

Apple TV+ will now cost you an extra $3/month, Apple Arcade is now $2/month pricier while Apple News+ pricing has increased by $3/month. As a result of those price changes, the Apple One subscription which bundles various Apple services together at a discounted price, has gotten more expensive, too.

New prices for Apple One, Arcade, TV+ and News+

Here’s a detailed breakdown of the pricing changes:

  • Apple Arcade has increased from $4.99/month to $6.99/month
  • Apple TV+ has increased from $6.99/month to $9.99/month
  • Apple News+ has increased from $9.99/month to $12.99/month

The next billing cycle will reflect these prices.

Because the above services are also available in the Apple One bundle, its price has also gone up—you’ll now need to fork out an extra $3/month for the base Individual bundle. The Family and Premier tiers are a bit pricier than before as well.

Here’s the new Apple One pricing structure:

  • Apple One Individual has increased from $16.95/month to $19.95/month
  • Apple One Family has increased from $19.95 to $22.95/month
  • Apple One Premium has increased from $29.95 to $32.95/month

Even more expensive on a yearly basis

If you think a buck or two more per month isn’t a big deal, think twice. The right way to think about any price increases is on an annualized basis.

So even though Apple One’s Individual and Family tiers increased by $2 and $3, the price difference on an annual basis is $24 and $36, respectively.

Like many other streamers and companies providing online services on a subscription basis, Apple hasn’t been immune to price increases.

While the Cupertino tech giant originally priced Apple TV+ and its services aggressively in order to gain market share, someone has to pay for all this content. But unlike other companies like Netflix that seem to raise subscription prices regularly, this is the second time Apple’s services became more expensive.
