iOS developer tomt000 is out with a brand new jailbreak tweak called Dynamic Stage this week that transforms the multitasking experience on iPhones by implementing a modern and reimagined Stage Manager approach for multitasking on the iPhone.

As you can see in the demonstration video above, provided by the developer, Dynamic Stage lends users fluid gestures and animations that elevate your ordinary multitasking experience.

With it, you can have two independent apps running on your device at the same time in Split View — one on top, and one on the bottom. This unlocks simultaneous app usage, letting you accomplish more in one fell swoop without app switching.

To access the stage, you can swipe up from the bottom right. From here, you can launch the stage manager by releasing your finger or drag it underneath your existing app to enter Split View. After you do that, you can run dual apps and then exit Split View at any time by swiping up for the button right again.

After you install Dynamic Stage, you will find a dedicated preference pane in the Settings app where you can configure a number of options to your liking:

Here, you can:

  • Enable or disable Dynamic Stage on demand
  • Configure miscellaneous settings:
    • Display first install intro
    • Report bugs
  • Configure application behaviors:
    • Disable the tweak for individual apps
    • Choose between iPad or iPad launch modes
  • Show the open app icon
  • Disable the feature on the Home Screen
  • Choose between light, dark, or auto appearance
  • And more…

We don’t say this often about jailbreak tweaks, but if you want a reason to jailbreak your iPhone, this is a good reason to do it. The animations and usability are so well balanced that you’d think you were using a stock feature instead of a hack.

If you’re interested in transcending iOS’ stock multitasking capabilities, then you’ll want to give this tweak a try. It’s available for $3.99 from the Havoc repository via your favorite package manager app, and you won’t be disappointed.

The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 14 and 15 devices, including rootless jailbreaks such as Dopamine and palera1n.
