Popular FingerLock tweak adds rootless jailbreak support in latest update

FingerLock, a popular jailbreak tweak by iOS developer MTAC, has been updated this week to version 3.0.2 with support for the latest rootless iOS 15 & 16 jailbreaks including Dopamine and palera1n.

As we showed you in our original review post, FingerLock provides a unique new way or unlocking your jailbroken iOS 14-16 device by adding a touch-based device unlocking mechanism to the bottom of the Lock Screen so that you don’t have to use the Home Button or Home Bar.

When you tap on the new FingerLock button on the Lock Screen, this initiates the process of authenticating the user by way of Face ID or Touch ID.

One of the things we like about FingerLock is the extensive list of options that users can tinker with in order to configure the tweak to their liking:

This preference pane gives users the flexibility to:

  • Configure FingerLock themes
  • Adjust the positioning of the FingerLock button
  • Hide unwanted elements from the Lock Screen that cause clutter
  • And more…

If you’re not already a FingerLock user, or you’ve been holding out and awaiting rootless jailbreak support, then you can now download the latest version the Havoc repository for free via your favorite package manager app. The tweak works on jailbroken iOS 14, 15, and 16 devices whether the jailbreak is rootless or not.
